  1. Just recently took delivery of our 2.0 TSI Kodiaq. It may be early to say but so far it's been averaging about 35 mpg. Mixed use, local driving, B-roads and some motorway. I find it positive as I expected worse. Of course, a very heavy foot or constant city traffic would make for lower mpg. The powertrain is very smooth and relaxing to drive. This is exactly why I picked this engine. I'm in mainland Europe and diesels are heavily taxed these days. We only drive locally combined with 3-4 longer (500 miles or more) family holidays a year. Didn't do any towing, but assuming it will cope fine with it if you take the lower mpg as a tradeoff. Like you said, heavy foot with a TDI will do even worse with a TSI.
  2. Sportline 2.0 TSI (mainland Europe), ordered Jan 3, expected delivery was april 25th, postponed production to june. Last thing I heard is the car has been produced and awaiting transport, so hopefully within a few weeks. Same thing though, zero communication from the dealer, have to call / e-mail every time myself.
  3. There have apparently been issues with some DCC resulting in ‘clunky’ noises. There is another topic on this. I have however read an official VW reaction on the Passat’s DCC issues stating that it has been resolved. (I guess for cars in production) If you are in any doubt I suggest a visit to the dealer, and if in fact your car has ‘faulty’ DCC suspension you should claim warranty.
  4. Any news on the issues? Will be placing my Kodiaq Sportline order next week. Only option I'm still a bit undecided about is the DCC. (EUR 950) Some reviewers stating DCC makes the ride as a whole better, regardless of the setting. I was only able to test drive a non-DCC Kodiaq. Found the ride quality pretty good overall.
  5. Thanks Yogi-Bear. Indeed the 7 seat is for a big part the marketing of the Kodiaq. Just a bit of a shame it’s an optional extra. I will stick to the 7 seater then. Planning to keep the car as long as possible. Indeed there will be many scenario’s I would be blaming myself for not having 7 seats. We are quite the IKEA family, good argument there.
  6. This is an interesting one to follow. Thinking about ordering a new Kodiaq, but not sure about the DCC. On paper it almost seems like a must have. But my fear is it’s prone to such problems. Curious about the fix. Perhaps a reason to stick with normal suspension unless it’s too soft for my liking.
  7. Hello, I'm new here, though I've been doing plenty of research on this forum. As a young family dad with our third kid on the way I'm looking to upgrade to a Skoda Kodiaq. My wife has been very positive about the 7-seat option, however I'm aware this also has its downsides. (Hard to access, rather slim, not ideal with booster seats, eating up some boot space..) Since my eldest will do fine in a booster seat, which seems it will fit on the 2nd row middle seat, would it be wiser to save the money and boot space and opt for the 5-seater? Having 7 seats will of course add more flexibility but seeing how difficult to access they are with 2 child seats installed on the 2nd row I'm wondering if we'll ever use them. Thanks for the advise.
