  1. Most of my trips are shorter. With some 10-15 mile trips for work. It looks like my oil Level is now correct so I will check every few weeks and see how it goes.
  2. Yes it’s tsi petrol
  3. Thanks, sorry yes tsi petrol. I’ve topped it up with castrol edge , half a litre and now it is in the middle of the dipstick. I will check weekly now and see how much I lose.
  4. Hi all, was driving home from work last night and the warning message displayed. It said I needed to top the oil up. Checked levels this morning and oil was indeed just below minimum, so went to get some (incidentally the error code didn’t come back on during the short drive to get the oil) Topped up with half a litre and now looks to be correct levels. My question is should I be worrried about losing oil? Car is 4 years old and only 16k on clock, think it’s been around 8k since oil change. Stupidly I’ve not been checking my levels since owning the car these last 6 months (maybe once early days)
  5. which car do you have? I have the Octavia vrs mk4 in blue. Lovely looking car but find all the tech annoying as hell. Seem ti have some sort of warning light every day. Unimpressed with the ride quality too. It’s not a patch on my bmw 3 series I had for 6 years.
  6. Yeah, as I’m discovering having only had the car just over 3 weeks. They are horrific. My first and last Škoda for sure.
  7. Hold the button in for 3 seconds so you get the 3 beeps. I’ve done this 3 times but to no avail. Keep getting the beep
  8. My Octavia VRs is now doing this. Had a new battery installed last week and has done it intermittently since. I’ve tried the reset after ensuring fully opened and worked for a short period but the higher pitch warning tone still appears intermittently . Very annoying. I’ll be ringing the dealer up tomorrow as only had the car 3 weeks
  9. Hi all, only had my Octavia VRs a few weeks and after having a new battery fitted last week, I’m now having an issue with the electric tailgate. it beeps as it opens (which I know is normal) but sometimes I get an higher pitch beep (almost like a warning chime) once it’s been opened. Just trying to find if anyone has this or any possible reasons before I ring the dealership up again! cheers
  10. I’m not sure, I’d of hoped so.
  11. It reactivates randomly during the journey. I deactivate it on the infotainment screen but when I close that screen down, sometimes it stays deactivated, sometimes it reactivates itself? Very annoying. New battery was fitted last week from the dealership
  12. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with their start stop systems. Just had a new battery on my Octavia mk4 VRs. I deactivate the start stop function but during the journey it reactivates itself annoyingly? Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what could be causing it.
  13. That’s good then! Looks like mine due to the battery having low voltage, so having new battery out on tomorrow. Had quite a few front assist limited availability messages appear recently also so dealership suspect that may also be due to low battery voltage
  14. Evening all, Just been to pick my new Octavia vrs up from the dealership today (71 plate) , when I arrived I was told there had been an error with the battery so they was putting a new one on for me. Drive it home which is 3 hours and all seemed fine, only To be greeted with an electronic parking brake error when I had parked up 😞 . Anyone know if this could be related to the new battery? I’ll be ringing the dealership up tomorrow as it’s come with 2 year warranty but not the best start to owning a Skoda
