  1. By the way: Would it be difficult for me to replace this part myself? Based on the videos I’ve watched, it doesn’t seem too complicated, and accessing the alternator in my car is quite easy. The part can be removed directly. However, I’m wondering if there are any specific details I should be aware of, like reinstalling the belt, for example.
  2. Yes, while the car was in motion, the battery light turned on. It continued running for a while, but then the electrical functions stopped working, and eventually, the car shut down completely. thank you. I hope I can see it
  3. Hello everyone, I own a Skoda II (542) 1.2 2008, 44 kW / 60 HP, engine type: BBM, CHFA, petrol. Unfortunately, my battery has stopped charging, and I suspect the issue is with the alternator. I’ve looked into buying a new alternator, but the prices are quite high, so I’m trying to find a second-hand one instead. However, I’m not entirely sure which alternator model is compatible with my car. If anyone here has experience with this or owns the same model, I’d really appreciate your advice. Could you let me know which alternator models would work for this car? Thank you very much in advance for your help!
  4. Hi everyone, I’m looking for some help with finding OE (Original Equipment) part numbers for my car. I own a 2008 Skoda Fabia 1.2, and I’m trying to ensure that I get the correct parts for maintenance and repairs. Here are a few things I’d like advice on: Where can I find reliable sources (websites, catalogs, or software) to look up OE part numbers for my car? Is there a way to identify the correct parts using my car’s VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)? Are there any Skoda-specific tools or resources that you’d recommend for this? I’d appreciate any tips, links, or resources you could share. Also, if anyone has experience with sourcing parts for a similar car, I’d love to hear about it! Thanks in advance for your help!
  5. Hello again, I had removed and cleaned the sensor, but unfortunately, the warning light came on again today. So, I’m considering buying and installing a new oxygen sensor. My question is: can I do this on my own? When I look at the product images, I notice the cables and socket assembly. Do I need to assemble these myself? Thank you for your guidance.
  6. @Breezy_Pete No, there didn’t seem to be any visible issue. I just noticed that it felt a bit damp. In the new photo I shared, two clamps are holding the cable tightly at the marked section. I couldn’t understand why they are there.
  7. Hello, I just had the chance to remove the oxygen sensor. Upon inspection, there doesn't seem to be any issue with the wires. I've attached the pictures as well. The head of the oxygen sensor was dusty.
  8. Thank you for info. Does a faulty cable mean the entire sensor and its cables need to be replaced together?
  9. So should I replace the sensor completely or should I try removing it and cleaning it?
  10. I want to solve this problem myself, but I don't know which sensor on the car I should look at and in what exact location for this error code.
  11. I have attached the error screen of the OBD device. O2 sensor error with fault code P0135

  13. Thank you for the detailed explanation, @Breezy_Pete Yes, I’ve been experiencing an issue where the check engine light flashes intermittently. When I checked with an OBD device, it indicated an oxygen sensor fault. The reason I'm considering cleaning the sensors is that the check engine light comes on for a few days, then turns off for about a week, and then comes back on again. This pattern makes me think the issue could be related to a dirty sensor rather than a completely faulty one. Would you recommend cleaning the sensors, or do you think replacing them directly would be a better solution? Any advice would be appreciated!
  14. Hi everyone, I’m planning to do some maintenance on my 2008 Skoda Fabia 1.2 44kW (gasoline), and I have a question: How many oxygen sensors (lambda sensors) does this model have? Occasionally, the check engine light flashes on and off, and I believe it might be related to a dirty oxygen sensor. I’m considering cleaning it to see if it resolves the issue. If anyone knows, it would be great if you could also share information about the number of sensors and their locations. Thanks in advance! 😊
