PROJECT, adding circuits to the fusebox.
Under the dash you find the interior fusebox, fuses are two different physical sizes. Of the larger size fuses there are two rows. The "blue" row, and the "purple" row. The 12V plug is on the purple row, and is on even when the ignition is off. On the blue row there are two unused spots for fuses, its these i want to use. I did check, these two do not stay on when ignition is off, just what i want. Went to the local VAG dealership and got the little 'cableshoes' (direct translation from Norwegian, you may have a different name for them in English, see picture for what i mean. They were kind and gave me them for free. Møller Bil Egersund. Ive marked the cable going to the 12v plug, checked it with a multimeter, and want to solder this cable onto it. And add a placeholder fuse (a used broken one, or a plastic one) to the the circuit not used. This way future owner can get it back to stock if wanted by just changing the spots of two fuses. And add the other end to one of the two available spots on the 'blue' row. Then i want to use the last available spot and use it to give fused power to a new circuit for my dashcam (i want it to turn off with ignition) and the DAB+ adapter in my car. Thinking easiest place to get ground from is somewhere under the center console, but if you have better ideas let me know. Problem is, getting these 'cableshoes' into the fusebox is more work than i thought, to do so it seems this blue piece of plastic holding the entire row in place needs to be removed for me to be able to get it in there. So any leads on how to do so? Help and leads greatly appreciated.

Old bottle of unused engine oil
In my car was a 1little bottle of unopened engine oil, manufactured 2 weeks after the car got its first owner. So my question is, since its this old (2013) what can i use it for? Can i still use it in the engine if it needs a topup? Or in a generator or chainsaw maybe? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Rear left side window button problem
Im thinking the same now. That switch isnt needed, so will order the parts and replace it. Likely going to happen late summer, around when service is due.

Is my brake fluid okay?
Question id love some help with here. They reccomend a brake fluid change every 2 years. I have a full service history with 1 exception: A service done in july 2022. Because of this i cannot see what was done then, or who did it. Just page 1 of 3 listing car details and that it was done. This service was not filled in the service book. If it wasnt done then it has not been done since 2018. So i checked it with a voltmeter. Negative lead on batterys negative pole, and positive dipped in the break fluid. 0.138v as i dipped it in, then it stabilized at 0.089v. Not sure if this measures acidity, metal content from gradual wear of brake lines or moisture content. But it measures conductivity atleast. Ive heard from multiple sources online that over 0.3v is bad, means moisture content os above 3% and you should have fluid ASAP If fluid was changed 2022, which honesty seems more likely now its still been more than 2 years. And it it hasnt been done since 2018 thats just worse. But is it good? Should i have it changed before my 1700km road trip in february? Brakes work fine. Will check conductivity again when its not dark out and weather gets nicer. Making sure negative lead has propper contact. And have messaged the previous owner, waiting for a reply.

Armrest
Pretty new to Skoda and cars in general, so not quite sure what you mean by 'VAG vehicles'. So if my experience here isn't a help I do apologize. Ive been wanting to mount an OEM armrest in my same year Fabia, so me and my ADHD brain started disassembling the centre console one day to figure out how to mount it. Its juts 4 bolts, likely hex keys like most things with the car. all you need to do to get to them is with the handbrake up (on) undo the bolt under the rear cupholder and lift the centre console up from the rear. you may have to remove some panels around the armrest base to be able to lift the centre console. Once you have lifted the rear of the console a tiny bit you'll be able to see the bolts. if the problem is with the armrest itself, and not where it mounts to the car I have to apologize again, as I haven't been able to learn more. Also If anyone knows where I can get an OEM, or OEMatching armrest it greatly appreciate tips.

Rear left side window button problem
2013 Fabia 1.2l 70hp. All windows work when using the switches on the drivers door, but when using the doors own switches then one of them did not work. Theres a mechanical clicking sound when i press or pull it, but nothing actually happens. Any tips on where to look for the fault? That clicking sound makes me think its not the switch itself theres a problem with, but could i be wrong? Any help appreciated.

Hello
29 yrs old, so about time i got a car. Well i finally did. ^^ its a 2013 Skoda Fabia. Its had its list of issues in the now 4 months ive owned it (all covered by the dealers 3months used car warranty i payed a bit extra for. Thankfully I wasnt a cheapskate there xD) but i still love it. In all the different documents i have, its reffered to by different names, but same VIN throhout. Ambiente 70, Ambition GT 70. So what it is i do not know. But i know its a Fabia Hatchback with a 51kw engine xD. I know this is Briskoda. I am Norwegian, but decided to make an account here aswell as it sees alot more users than the Norwegian Skoda forum. So nice to be here. (And yes, with a plate like that i do call it my little speed demon xD)
