  1. Yes. That is a possibility. Must be very slow. I asked my local garage to check power steering well over a year ago as it seemed to be getting a little heavier. They told me that they topped up the fluid and everything OK. I’ll have to live with it for the moment as I haven’t the time or money to be looking at stripdown/refurb or replacement rack/pump.
  2. All done. Bit of a pig to access as it’s slightly underneath the battery housing but just managed to get one of my hands in enough to undo the cap and used a funnel with some hose attached. Many thanks guys.
  3. Many thanks Jocko and Breezy Pete. I have the fluid and I’ll take a look tomorrow.
  4. Apologies if this has already been asked, I did search but couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. where is the filler cap to top up the power steering fluid on my 2013 Elegance please? is it under the battery as information elsewhere seemed to suggest? many thanks in advance.
  5. After recently paying my mortgage off early I used the money saved on this. Itll be my last 'luxury' watch purchase as I own a Breitling Chrono Avenger auto, a Panerai and a number of very nice Seiko's and Trasers. 'Enough's enough now' my wife told me!
  6. I've solved the issue... when nothing is selected on the climate control unit it will automatically default to AC on and 22* when the ignition is switched on. As soon as I selected airflow and temperature, switched off ignition and then turned ignition back on it 'remembers' the last setting. Many thanks for all the input and suggestions anyway.
  7. Hello Briskodians! I'm looking for a little advice please... Not entirely sure what I've done but when switching on the ignition of my 2013 Fabia Elegance the air con is automatically on and set at 22* which it never used to do! All the time I've had the car it used to remember the last settings used. I would just like to know how to get it back to how it was please. Thank you in advance and kind regards.
  8. Removed my wind deflectors today and carefully filed down the area where the glass was contacting causing the auto-pinch function to kick in. Created a chamfer/lead-in for the glass and I'm pleased to report that they now work absolutely spot on. I'm very pleased now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I like the look but make no mistake if I can't get them to work with the electric widows mine will end up in the classifieds too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I agree, mine look great on, it's just the functionality that's doing my nut in! I will adjust them to work this week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks mrburdon123. I think that's what I'll end up doing myself, just to give a lead-in for the glass. Any other thoughts from any other users or clued-up Briskodians much appreciated before I break out the file at the weekend! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It's frustrating to say the least. No pre-warning from the dealer either. Fours days on and widows still auto-retracting! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Is anyone able to offer me some advice please? I bought the OEM wind deflectors from the stealers and they don't come with clips. They are a good tight fit and as far as I can make out I've fitted them correctly and put the windows up to allow the seals to conform so the anti-pinch doesn't kick in when the windows are raised. Two days with the windows raised and the anti-pinch is still kicking in when they are raised, it's driving me nuts, any advice great fully received. Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for your help guys. The codes I have are L14 and GO4 so am I right in thinking these are the sports suspension codes for my car, which is a 1.6 TDI Elegance. The price of the sports suspension was £105 but minus the VAT so £87.50 paid.
  15. Hi fellow Briskodians! I've taken delivery of my new Fabia today and I'm loving the new look of the car. I do have a question though... How do I know if the car has the sports suspension fitted that I requested and paid for? I've gone thorough and decoded the codes on the car sticker in the boot and service book and although there are some entries pertaining to suspension, none of them mention 'sports' suspension. Does anyone know the code for sports suspension so I can double check. I don't want to go back to dealer gobbing off that they've ripped me off without being certain of the facts. Many thanks in advance.
