Yeah it was a faulty boot lock causing my issues. Ordered a replacement part through a main dealer and it was a 20 minute job to change it myself.

Hi all, I'm looking for a bit of advice. I have a 2018 Octavia estate and as of last week the boot won't open. I've tried opening with both holding the button on the key and the button on the boot itself. No luck so far with them, though it does open with the emergency release, but with two dogs that's proving less than ideal. I've read up on it and getting conflicting results on either changing the boot release mechanism itself or changing the button. So just looking for advice before I go shopping
