Water in the boot - Spare Wheel Area
Well I think I may have fixed it but not sure just yet. I followed what this guy did on YouTube, lucky we have had a few nice days to do it. Here is the video I followed , it actually wasn't that bad but there is a screw at about 10 o'clock behind the wheel lining which is an absolute pain in the arse to get to and unscrew, using a long screwdriver bending the lining back far enough I just managed to get it but it was very difficult and hard to see to get the torque head into the screw. Apart from that it was plain sailing, never die it before and I managed on my own took a few hours, removed vents and they had cack and gunk sat on top of them, cleaned them up and bought a small tube of sealant from Halfords for 7 quid. I would say removed the wheels to make it easier to get to that screw. I have washed the card with a jet wash and so far so good, so fingers crossed that has solved the issue. I also dried out the ply wood under the boot lining and used a sander to sand it back to get rid of the black mouldy stains and it made it smell ok too. So fingers crossed it's worked.

Fabia MK2 Monte Carlo Blowing only hot air
So I have fixed this issue, I forgot to take photos to show however it's pretty straightforward fix. Turns out that on this particular model and year which is a Monte Carlo 2011, the heat dial uses a cable which attaches to the heater flaps. It had disconnected. I popped the stereo surround off. Unscrewed the stereo and took the stereo out. Then I removed the T20 torque screws from the back of the housing which there are 2, then the other 4 at the front of that housing. Removed that housing and I could see the cable had disconnected, I made sure the dial was way round at hot and managed to get my fingers in the gap to push the cable back onto the small black pin, and jobs a good un, it worked, nice quick easy fix for me thank god and didn't need to buy a new flapper motor. These earlier models seem to be mechanical rather than electrical and the dials are worked by cables including the fan speed dial which I could also see on the other side. Hope this helps folk in future as it is the quickest and easiest way to check if it's the cable or something else, because having to removed that flapper box would have been a pain in the arse, you can't remove the glove box unless you take out all the dashboard right over to the driver side which includes the headlight switches so check the cable first and make sure it's plugged in.

Water in the boot - Spare Wheel Area
When I picked my Fabia 2011 Monte Carlo up a week or so ago, there was about 6 inches of water in the boot, in the space where the spare wheel would go. I thought it was because the guy had left the boot open when it rained, after drying it out I noticed some more water in it today, I've heard these Fabia's can get leaks in the boot but I have no clue where it's coming from, no damp on the roof lining, checked the rubbers around where the wires go for the heated rear Windows and as you can see in the photo where I'm pointing that's where some water was sat and some in the spare wheel area. I'm wondering if it's coming in through near the rear lights as I seem to have a bulb fault light on but all bulbs are working l, so wondering if that's where it's coming in and has corroded the bulb connector hen every I also have a bulb warning lights. Anyone else had this issue at all? If so where did you find the water was coming from? I really need to get this sorted otherwise it'll keep happening. I saw a guy on YouTube who had a similar issue and he reckoned it came from the vents behind the rear lights that let the pressure out the boot when closing it, so he removed them, cleaned them and sealed them back in. Any help or advice Greatly appreciated. Many thanks Ryan.

Fabia MK2 Monte Carlo Blowing only hot air
Just to add to this as I can't seem to edit original post. The fan is blowing on 1,2,3 and 4 so no issues with the actual fan.

Fabia MK2 Monte Carlo Blowing only hot air
I recently purchased my first Skoda. Fabia MK2 - 2011 - Monte Carlo I noticed today that only really hot air is blowing out the vents, when I change the temperature dial to hot or cold it's stays really hot, I also noticed that the Circulation light comes on too, when I change the temperature. Is this a flappy motor issue? Or some sort of sensor, because the hot air is proper hot. It's going in later to my mechanic as the coolant needs topped up as it's pretty low, along with a service. Not sure if changing the cabin pollen filter would have caused this if it was put in the wrong way around? Any help greatly appreciated. If it is the flappy motor thing does anyone have a link to the part to replace it? Or a sensor? Many thanks
