  1. you can remove the undertray and you will see a code on the gearbox starting with 0GC if it is the DQ381, or if you look on you tube for "dq381 filter change" you will see where the screw-on oil filter is located on top of this gearbox. If you open the bonnet and shine a torch at night, you should find it (you'll need T25 & T40 torx and a 24mm socket to remove the undertray)
  2. perhaps I'm wrong but I thought the car would have the DQ381, as I think the DQ200 is limited to 250Nm of torque
  3. dealer will not change the filter but an independant will if you ask them. Dealer is forced to use OEM fluid which is expensive. Alternative fluids are cheaper.
  4. I got sick of Shell V-Power not being available on my route and spent a whole evening researching additives and came up with this one can't remember the reasoning behind it but I was only interested in keeping the pump lubed
  5. anyone else use this stuff? I'm pampering my engine as I intend to get a huge mileage out of it
  6. yes it's confusing, this link shows what can be done if your car is SFD 2 https://obdeleven.com/customizations/skoda/octavia/2024
  7. I had exactly the same experience, no acoustic warning, nothing on the screen, just a sudden stop with a bang. Even though you're going 2 or 3mph it feels like you're about to go through the windscreen..... In my scenario I was looking for a parking space and there was a (nearly flat) speed hump in the road. 2025 2.0 TDI SE Tech (UK car) I have had the other acoustic warning going at speed (it's different) and it was correct, I was closing on the rear of a car in front. I had it reversing once, I thought I hit something but it was a dangling piece of grass (no beep just "bang")
  8. "KAMEI Husky 510 matt black DuoLift roof box" spent 12yrs on the roof of my last car, now on my new car (Mk4.5 estate) Has never let a drop of water in. In terms of appearance it's functional and massive. You could climb into it and lie down
  9. I don't know anything about it but I read somewhere that this is only available if you have previously bought a new car from them, and you were using the App with your previous car
  10. probably requires a replacement of this unit: https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/5wa713033cd-selector-mechanism-skoda-50690.html can be a failure of the internal microswitch which is affected by debris and mechanical wear video shows how to get access to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auwizaon8Q4 A dealer will have come across these issues before, be aware they will charge you for an initial diagnosis...
  11. I have 1.0 gasoline and sometimes at idle revs, I feel like an uneven vibration. Be assured, vibration at idle for this 1.0 is completely normal, every car is the same
  12. unfortunately, there are lots of people who will say "no" - if you give them the option of spending money on a service item.
  13. mine popped up when I bought OBDeleven for the first time and running the ignition for about 30mins looking at the parameters, didn't realise the ignition was a big drain. I wish it was the old lead/acid battery/alternator system
  14. I got these messages on OBDeleven the last time my battery was poor (2025 2.0TDi SE Tech) --------------------------------------------------------------- 01 Engine System description: R4 2.0l TDI Software number: 05L906***** Software version: 4621 Hardware number: 05L907***** Hardware version: H80 ODX name: EV_ECM20TDI01105L***** ODX version: 010005 Long coding: 01250832*****930080000000000000000000000000000 Trouble codes: U041500 - Invalid Data Received From Anti-Lock Brake System Control Module Intermittent U041500 - Invalid Data Received From Anti-Lock Brake System Control Module Intermittent --------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------- 03 Brakes System description: ESC Software number: 5WA6***** Software version: 0331 Hardware number: 5WA614***** Hardware version: H31 Serial number: 61445000***** ODX name: EV_Brake1ESC*****CE ODX version: 006026 Long coding: 521852*****B399C4103A59C9EB701C50AC*****00 Trouble codes: U015100 - Lost Communication With Restraints Control Module Intermittent U140000 - Function restriction due to insufficient voltage Intermittent --------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------- 13 Adaptive Cruise Control System description: ACC Bosch MQB Software number: 5WA***** Software version: 0576 Hardware number: 5WA***** Hardware version: H50 ODX name: EV_FRONTRADARBOS***** ODX version: 005024 Long coding: 0983026500*****4000009000C54E4030000000000000000000000000 Trouble codes: U112200 - Databus implausible message Intermittent U112200 - Databus implausible message Intermittent U112300 - Databus error value received Intermittent --------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------- 75 Telematics System description: OCUM*****_H Software number: 57*****4B Software version: 0626 Hardware number: 5710***** Hardware version: H09 Serial number: 0000000505VI****** ODX name: EV_OCUM***** ODX version: 001066 Long coding: 030106010000002100000100************1012100000 Trouble codes: U111100 - Function limitation due to missing message static U111100 - Function limitation due to missing message static ---------------------------------------------------------------
  15. the Mk4.5 is a very different car, no gremlins on my 2025 TDi SE Tech estate so far
