Unable to connect my CITIGOe-iV to the MySkoda app since 6 August
Hi David, I had a similar problem earlier in the year and eventually managed to get my Citigo-e to connect to the app by setting the units to km in both the car menu and in the app, then enter the mileage as the km figure shown on the screen when you switch off. Once you are in, you can put both back to miles and there is no further problem with connectivity. You may have to specifically ask the help desk to reactivate the e-sim. One thing I never managed to do with the Citigo-e was to set the upper charge limit as this cannot be set from the app (once you've got it working). However, having swapped the Citigo-e for an e-Up a month ago, I have discovered that the VW Maps and More app can be used for this, and as Richard says above it will also connect to the Citigo. You have to set a charging location ('Home'), then a departure time (all are defaulted at 01.00, but I set mine to 08.00 to correspond with my charge by time in the Ovo app), then there is the gear icon which sets the maximum charge. And you have to activate this in another section of the Maps and More app. You will get there! I'm feeling tranquil about it as it's all working fine now, but I do remember wanting to tear my hair out in March. Unfortunately there is no money to be made from further refining the app/car interface so new owners have to rely on the collective memory of the forums. Citigo iV and MySkoda app
SUCCESS! After nearly 2 months I have successfully activated and can now set the upper charging limit to 80% accurately rather than hopping out to look every half hour or so as we head towards the 3/4 mark on the dial. As advised by Skoda Support, the process was as follows: Set the units in MySkoda app to km not miles. Convert the mileage shown in the dashboard display to km using google (we did 4071 miles = 6551 km) Enter this figure and bingo! I tried entering the mileage as miles and got exactly the same error as above, then tried the conversion and all was fine. So we can now charge at 7p per kWh via Ovo Charge Anytime. Well, until they retire 2G and 3G network... It's only been an hour since I managed it but a cursory look at the app does not show any other benefits, such as setting a 7kW charging capability or the lights on/off when unlocking/locking, or the climate control default of 22 degrees. I hope that this works for others too! ATG

Citigo iV and MySkoda app
Thanks for the link to the connectivity - it looks like it will go off soon even if we manage to get it going now. It would be nice to customize some of the features using the app even if we have to connect via bluetooth, which we already have. It's just getting the car activated/paired to my account which is the problem. The support centre have said that a different Main User is currently attached to the car and have asked if I want them removed. The answer is yes (of course) but nothing has happened yet. Maybe they are contacting the previous owner via email. I have no way of knowing who that was as I bought it from a dealer who bought it at auction. And so we wait...

Citigo iV and MySkoda app
Unfortunately there is no option in the setup menu in the car to change to km, so I have to convert the mileage to km manually. Although this still does not work... I also tried entering the mileage just above or below the displayed figure, as I noticed at the weekend when charging my Enyaq that there was one mile difference between what the app said and what the car said. But still no good... Why did they mess with the perfectly satisfactory Move & Fun and Connect apps? I hoped that "error #8" would lead the tech guys to the root of the problem quite easily. But I suppose it's been a few years since they sold the model and the collective memory must have gone.

Citigo iV and MySkoda app
Hi all, I recently bought a 2020 Citigoe iV which I am not able to activate/finish pairing in the MySkoda app. The VIN is recognised and the model and colour is correctly displayed. However, after entering the mileage I receive a message saying that it was unsuccessful, with error #8. I have been in touch with Support at Skoda-auto and they have twice asked me to send screenshots etc, which I have done. But no progress has been made. I have tried all permutations of: Bluetooth on/off, connected by USB (or not), leaving key in ignition/removal, leaving it 10 minutes for the esim to send the mileage to the mother ship, entering the mileage in the km equivalent (seems to work for the e-up), etc. Has anyone else been able to connect to the app? This is not just for fun, as without it I have to charge at my full electricity rate due to Ovo not recognising my charger. Also, it would be good to get the charging rate up to 7kW and disable the default 22 degrees in the heating system. I'm starting to suspect that the esim is in fact a 2G or 3G model which is no longer supported by Cubic. If it is, can it be replaced? Any suggestions would be well received, as in all other respects it is a cracking little car. My back stop is to change electricity provider to Octopus in August when the current contract expires.
