Mk3 Octavia 2.0l Disel. January 2022, still monitoring it but looks promising. The error is the same as per this post. Sometimes it was gone then pushing the parking position was reappearing. They initially told me that the selector box needed to be replaced but as it takes 3 to 4 weeks to get the part and I need the TUV they updated the transmission firmware (apparently released for this reason).

VW released few days ago a firmware update for the transmission.. they installed it in my car and apparently the problem looks to be fixed without replacing the parts.. hope this can be helpful.
