  1. Dear ChubbsH! I already wrote a letter of complaint to Skoda last August. Then they simply shook me off. But now I have decided that one way or another, I will go to the end. I wrote a letter of complaint to SKODA again, supporting it with many videos. The manufacturer called the car to the local brand service, for diagnostics. I always took the car back to where I bought it. Fortunately, the error occurred again in the service, so they could see it with their own eyes and document the error! (the MIB starts by itself when the car is locked, etc.). They said that they would update the software again, and that we had to leave the car there. I got nervous that they just wanted to shake me off again. I wrote another email, in which I wrote that if they did not completely solve this problem for us, I would contact a lawyer. The next day we received a notification in the afternoon that they had installed the 1985 software and were testing the car, it stayed there for another night. The next day they called again and said that they had recorded a voltage drop and the multimedia system spontaneously turning on. They were completing the process of processing the technical request and approving the MIB replacement. I was happy that FINALLY! Hallelujah! Since my warranty had already expired, I had to pay 20% of the retail price of the MIB, which was about 200 euros. The manufacturer pays 80%. The dealer pays for the labor costs. I had to pay the 200 euros in advance and I have to wait about 2 weeks for the new display to arrive. I am a little disappointed because they should have done it completely free of charge! I ask, where is the price of all the fuel, that I kept bringing the car back with the same problem, and the price of the second car's gasoline, which we bring from the service and then go to get the car? But I'm not interested anymore, I don't want to argue anymore! Just do it and make it good! Thank you for giving me the strength to fight, I'm grateful for it! Sorry for the mistakes, but I don't speak English, so I translated it with google translate.
  2. Hello! I've been following the forum for a long time. I've been suffering from infotainment errors for 4 years now. I take my car to the brand service for repairs 4-5 times a year, they always just update the software. After a few months of good updates, some errors are fixed, but there's always a new error. I don't drive the car much, it currently has 33,400 km on it. I bought a new car so that I wouldn't have to go to the service for a while... It's unbelievable to me how much they don't test the software and how weak the Skoda IT team is. Shame! The service always reassures me that I should try to go home and test it. But the manufacturer should do that! What is the Skoda warranty worth? I'll tell you. Nothing! I hated SKODA for life.
