Hi. Currently driving a 2020 Kamiq. It's been a decent car, but with a growing family, it's feeling restrictive. I'm in the market for a bigger car. I'm torn between an Octavia VRS (2024) or a more sensible SE L 1.5 TSI. My daily commute is 20 miles on A roads (3 times a week). Like to get out more at the weekends and often clock up 100 - 150 miles during that time. My head says the 1.5 TSI will be sensible for my needs, but the VRS will make everything more enjoyable. I want to run the car for 5-6 years (longer if I can). Will a VRS be overly excessive? Are they much more in terms of tyres, brakes and regular servicing ? Or will the 1.5 TSI be more than enough in terms of driving enjoyment and running costs ? Thanks in advance
