Hi everyone! This January, I picked up a second hand mk3.5 Skoda Octavia estate estate/combi. 1.4 TSI 150hp, manual transmission. I got it at 54k km and have done another 10k since. Since the beginning I had vibrations from the clutch and gas pedals and rough engine noise. Symptoms were noticeable above 2000 rpms and up to 2500 rpms in all gears. I have replaced , sparkplugs, dmf, clutch, both inner and outer CV joints, both front axles and engine/transmission mounts. All parts OEM and all work was done at my official local Skoda dealership. I have also had my tires balanced (twice) and my injectors cleaned. Although vibrations and noise have become less noticeable, they are still there especially when the engine is underload. For example under hard acceleration, driving uphill, when AC is on, etc. Yesterday I had someone rev the car at the range (2k-2.5k) I feel the vibrations while I recorded the engine with my phone. This is the Video I uploaded it on the Skoda subreddit, and people told it definitely doesn't sound normal pointing out potential timing belt/turbo issue. Does it sound normal to you? Took it to an independent garage today and they told me it's just how the engine sounds but pretty sure they just didn't bother. Thank you in advance!

That's the second thing on my list of possible causes, behind only engine mounts. I had the wheels aligned and the tires balanced and since then the vibrations have become less noticeable, but they are still present, always at 2500 rpms in all gears.

Hey everyone! So in January i bought a new (to me) Octavia estate 1.4 TSI, 150hp, manual transmission. It's an early 2018 facelifted mk3 model. Bought it from my local Skoda dealer. Previous owner swapped it for a brand new Kodiaq and the dealer provided me with a full service history. The car had 56k kms (35k miles) on the clock. Immediately when i picked up the car, i felt vibrations coming through the pedals when accelerating past 2500 rpms and increased engine noise (in all gears but not in idle). Even my wife commented about how loud the engine is and she drives a Corsa diesel 1.3 cdti which might be one of the noisest engines. I also own a 1.0 TSI mk3 Octavia (prefacelift) and is so much smoother and quieter. I took it back to the dealer because i suspected a faulty gearbox but they said it was all good. Since i starting using 98octane fuel, the vibrations and noise past the 2500 rpms mark have become less apparent but they are still there. I refuse to believe a 3cyl engine is more refined that a 4cyl one. June 5 i have scheduled an appointment with my dealer for a full check of the car. Is this something normal for this engine and i am overreacting or it's something that i should be worried about? Thanks in advance for all responses!!! Much appreciated!
