Yes BKC has hot start problem but its a symptom of the engine not spinning fast enough the ecu is programmed to start injection on hot engine (over 70C) at 280rpm Below is the hot start map from my tdi golf and you can see that below 20C it starts injection as soon as the engine starts to rotate, as the temperture rises so does the rpm required for the ecu to start injection, above 70C it needs 280 rpm for injection to start The cure is a new battery or starter motor or you can change the values highlighted in red below to 150 and get injection as soon as the engine starts to rotate Left column is engine RPM Top row is coolant temperature The other values are injection quantity
