  1. One more plus on the diesel is that I will not have to press the horn when going close to pedestrians and cyclists 😆
  2. To me it felt crappy on my driving test. That’s all
  3. Might have been a combo effect of being paired with crappy dq200 too not too sure to be honest but I spent almost 40 mins on each and the diesel won. Picking her up next week
  4. looks like its 80k miles
  5. Hi guys, any idea what is the recommended oil service for the DQ381 ?
  6. 2.0 tdi 150 bhp Same hill for both cars quite steep and long I specifically asked to drive it there Both dsg 7 speed autos 2025
  7. To answer my own question I test drove both 1.5 petrol and 1.5 diesel (Both SE-L) and the diesel wins (1.5 petrol almost stalled going uphill) diesel is better suited to this big car in my opinion after the test
  8. No I have not, there is one near me, might go for a test drive this week.
  9. @Ootohere Goind by the reviews in here and also the rattle i have personaly heard on the Karoq I am no longer keen going anywhere near this gearbox to be honest. Its a shame as i really liked the refined new 1.5 tsi evo2 engine.
  10. Many thanks guys Looks like i have to stick with diesels.
  11. @Breezy_Pete Can you please help me in identifying what gearbox type is in this 2 superb estates? reg: EU24GFO reg: EU24HFT Thanks Jon
  12. I’m looking at 2 superb estates at the moment both latest facelift. 1 is a petrol 1.5 tsi 150bhp with mhev The other one a 2.0 tdi 150bhp Both are 7 Auto DSG however I’m not sure if they are both dry or both wet and which one is better and more reliable? The TDI is SE-L with 18 inch tyres The petrol is SE drive technology with 17 inch tyres (both have window insulation) Which one should I go for guys? Is the petrol gutsy enough for motorways and to pull away all that big car? I’m not planning to race it. Where I live there is also a slight hill which I have never had any issues before with other cars however this estate looks really big..
  13. Good morning as per the title, I have already watched several youtube reviews however I'd like to know your opinion please This will be doing mixture of motorways and city (around 1k miles a month) Shall i go for petrol 1.5 or diesel 1.5 (do they both come with the same gearbox model) and is the consumpion a huge difference between the 2? It will be a 2 wheel drive preferably comfortable and quiet enough (I am tempted by the se-l trim due to better seats, however it seems the entry se drive comes with smaller wheels, any big difference in comfort and noise between the se and the se-l wich comes with 18 inch tyres?) cheers jon
  14. Are 17 inches also allowed to use? If so which profile do you recommend please
  15. just checked my manual and it says rim 6Jx16 ET43 and tyre 215/60 R16 for chains in snow I will ask for a technician from the main dealer to confim in writing.
  16. I had a good chat with the salesman who sold me the car, after he did his checks he called me back and long story short the car I bought cannot run on different wheels as it was setup with the 18 inch tyres, i even offered to pay them to do so, but was declined and told is not possible. Apparently you cannot even choose any other tyre sizes other than 18 if you order a new SE-L trim. They advised to stay with the same wheels, can change tyre brands but to remain with the same tyre specs - the Goodyears F1 assymetrics are same spec however I have been using them for years in many cars without issues.
  17. Hi All, Many thanks for all your replies. Å koda main dealer told me changing the alloy wheels will affect the car handling (I guess this newer version) and will also invalidate their warranty. I also called my insurer and they classed it as modification if I am to change increasing the premiums. Based on these I have decided to get some decent Goodyears assy 5 and stay on my original alloys. Cheers Jon
  18. Hello, (I'm sorry for the double posting - I'm new here) Just bought a Karoq 1.5 tsi automatic 2024 2WD that came with bridgestone turanza eco in 18 inch 215/50/18. I dont really like them (noisy and not comfortable, crashy/thumpy over rough surfaces) Can someone please advice If I am able to change to same 18 inch size but better profile - more comfortable - which one is advisable? Or shall i change to 17 inch wheels - which one? I'm not sure if any of these changes will invalidate my insurance or warranty? Has anyone have any similar experience in replacing the horrible Bridgestones? Cheers, Kannanni
