  1. Hi all - as promised I am providing an update on how my replacement went with some pictures. TLDR is it was a success! Here are some photos of me removing the old switch and then putting in the new one. I did end up breaking one clip during removal but it didn't cause any issues putting it back in and is fully flush. Also here is the old, broken part and you can see the circled broken arm/rocker for the button which was causing me the problem. Hopefully this helps someone else in the future. Thanks again for all the help in sorting this out!
  2. Great thanks @Danoid and @EssexBoi . I've ordered the part from Amazon UK. Should be here in a week along with the trim kit. Will post an update on how it went!
  3. Looks like genuine parts are hard to get to Sydney. I found this: https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/5g0959857dwhs-window-control-switch-skoda-40539.html But they don't deliver to me This one looks like a good option from Amazon UK https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0DNS3NK2D/ref=sw_img_1?smid=A3BLBI3KR0G16Z&psc=1 This works out a few dollars cheaper than the above but get's here a month later! https://www.amazon.com.au/5G0959857A-Control-5G0959857C-5G0959857D-2014-2018/dp/B0CNCNCV1C/ref=sr_1_2?content-id=amzn1.sym.e8cce5d5-bc42-49f9-891d-00f01e50ceab%3Aamzn1.sym.e8cce5d5-bc42-49f9-891d-00f01e50ceab&crid=12GPB9H4K6775&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.gmakPXSf4ltjEmZA8m-au1g7zg_tgUAMLp6ZKqN9gJfin17Zn1iWd1zMlw8-MAzJA1F50z9-uum1uROoHQMhl_R1WoQFhSa1uC5DWnZWIGYFuRkGy0gYTpKwtjUGLsUwFm-L4Cqll9p-EaJJHEEqY9ZQL0-wNV4BMvaLeZZ8PpmCxE93qErhXr3AO5g1Zr2aa0adVSSFue-Lkm-GxfArO3sUTgpbQEWkjT38xJLtXCihgegoCL1cSpoissFP6AacmkQE37AbSLiCHt3aHd1OHRCHxak8hrh3IiX846KZZII.NPzLwKxCnngjePOWAZWHANprHhRDq73hQbqNRmpT3P0&dib_tag=se&keywords=5G0959857d&pd_rd_r=e11d3815-741e-4506-af65-54848a5a4736&pd_rd_w=Qe7w4&pd_rd_wg=s37fo&pid=I3Q7bQx&qid=1750324738&sprefix=5g0959857%2Caps%2C218&sr=8-2&th=1 I think I might go for the Amazon UK option. Let me know if you think the part looks right.
  4. Thanks for the summary @EssexBoi . Without having taken my controls out I wanted to know how the spare part would fit because if you can see by a screenshot of my controls below: A a screenshot of the replacement part (non genuine - I am trying to source a genuine one) Do the window controls separate out from the rest of the unit i.e. the mirror controller? I am just wary of damaging anything else unwittingly or sourcing the wrong replacement part. I was also concerned if it matters if my vehicle is right hand drive and affects the part I get?
  5. I have joined the forums (which I have found very useful previously) to get help on this part number as my driver's side master switch now has a broken button just for the driver's window so I need to change the whole switch pack. I have tried to look for the part number mentioned but have not had much luck sourcing it. Can anyone please help with getting the part number right and also how best to source it? I have a 2017 Superb III, right hand drive and am located in Sydney, Australia.
