Post Cambelt Replacement Noises
I thought I'd share the eventual story behind this. I took it back into the garage and they agreed there was a bit of a squeaking noise at idle but decided that it was likely to be the auxiliary belt. Ok no worries let's get that sorted, I understand that when lots of stuff has been removed and replaced other things do get knocked or become more apparent. Noticed today that the noise is drastically more noticeable when turning left.. Doesn't sound like the auxilliary belt to me for a multitude of reasons. Figure perhaps it's the suspension, get the car up on stands and mess about a bit, yeah bit more noticeable but not obviously suspension on load or unload. A bit of fettling later with the bonnet open managed to nail down where the noise was coming from. It looks like the heatshield on the brake fluid reservoir is rubbing slightly against the Jubilee Clip next to it. (I guess what's happened is it's been removed during the service/cambelt change) and replaced in a very slightly different alignment. Problem solved temporarily with a couple of cable ties to pull the fluid reservoir away from it. The clip itself is a right nuisance to get to but given it seems to be an error from the garage I'll ask them to shimmy it round come MOT. Photo and video attached just on the off chance anyone ends up with the same issue. WhatsApp Video 2022-09-17 at 12.50.34 PM.mp4

Post Cambelt Replacement Noises
Good evening, Just a very quick one, 2l diesel S3 cambelt, water pump and major service conducted on Friday. Noticed a VERY minor/slight squeaking type noise yesterday, turned radio off and did a bit of a longer drive today and there's a definite squeaking type noise lurking in the background. My question is simply would this be something expected after a cambelt/pump change or should I return to the garage? I'm probably going to give them a ring in the AM to just let them know and see if they're bothered about having a look/to get it on record. It's difficult to pinpoint the location of the squeak as the engine is hardly refined anyway, but it's distinctly there lurking in the background.. If it's "normal" (I guess it's all relative, in 65k miles and 7 years I've never heard this noise) then I'm not fussed, I'm sure I'll get used to it, but if it's not I'd rather get it sorted while it's fresh from the garage. Also I'm not sure if it's in my head or could be related but the engine does seem more "clicky" than previously? To stress, the noise is really subtle but once you've heard it you can't unhear it! Thanks

Drivers side window switches
Forgot to say in previous post, thank you for your help. Much appreciated. Now I just need to find the part number for my missing bit of window trim and the car will be good as new.

Drivers side window switches
Roger, will try that. The reason I thought it might be electrical was that the switch for the passenger side went about a week ago and was bouncing around when any of the other switches were used, like it was getting shorted or something. Worst case I've not lost anything by replacing the unit though so will give that a go.

Drivers side window switches
Ok, didn't think it'd be that simple as all the switches seem to have gone limp, seemed more like an electrical thing rather than hardware but very happy to be wrong if that's the case! I did go a bit down the rabbit hole, seems to be common that the wiring loom in the door frays but this looks like a significantly cheaper option! Part number 5G0959857C?

Drivers side window switches
Hello, Today the drivers side window switches in my 66 plate Superb III have "failed". By failed, for lack of a better descriptive mode all the switches have gone "limp and floppy". Almost seems like there's a power issue? Before I go and attempt to extract any useful help from the local Skoda garage (who're normally less than helpful) I figured I'd post here and see if there's anything obvious/this is a common issue. A quick search suggests possibly the wiring loom in the door? The mirrors still adjust and the windows still work (both with the other switches and the key). Thanks

Sportline window trim issue
Unfortunately not, I've been able to find the chrome type ones. I've asked my local garage (Heritage Skoda in Gloucester, they're useless and have actually completely put me off purchasing another Skoda) multiple times and had no response. I'm going to reach out to a couple of others and see if I can get a response or quote to get it fixed. Logically there must be a part number somewhere, and it must be a 30s job to sort it.

Nearside rear passenger door trim
Good afternoon, the wife appears to have "lost" the piano black door trim (door top) on the Superb.. Normally I'd contact the local dealer to find out a part number but I find that they're about as useful as a chocolate teapot so figured I'd ask on here. Ideally part number + somewhere to buy it! It's upsetting my OCD looking at a door missing a bit of trim.. Thanks in advance!
