  1. Hey sorry if this has been covered! Tried searching but couldn't find the same question before Looking to upgrade the brakes on my 2012 mk2 facelift estate vrs. its currently 312mm/256mm I think. I wondering if the 340mm/310mm calipers from newer vrs models will fit? I thought they would but I’ve read that mine is maybe PQ35 platform and newer models are MQB platform… Ideally I’d like to use ones from either a newer VRS, or a S3 8P or maybe a Golf R mk5/6 Are the knuckles/mounting points the same across these platforms? Any advice at all is hugely appreciated as i’m currently frazzled by all the numbers and codes haha thanks!
  2. Heya I’m new on here not really sure what the vibe is but if anyone’s in Yorkshire and fancies a evening drive around the moors / Blakey ridge / buttertubs sometime I’d be down 😇
  3. I’d love to hear more about this too if anyone has any thoughts
  4. Ah yeah that’s a great idea cheers I’ll try swapping the wheels first and have a see if that feels different, thanks for the advice
  5. I’d love some advice on this too actually / just bought a mk2 vrs estate 2012 and looking to replace the old Kenwood stereo that’s in it currently with something fairly decent - that can display Waze navigation, Bluetooth stream music and has some kind of EQ :) thanks!
  6. I’ve actually loved having this car I bought it just for a runner and fell in love haha, so much soul. Trying not to put too much more money in now though! Just noticed steering has a slight left pull - wheel alignment didn’t remedy it. I’m wondering what else could be? Tyre pressures are even, tread wear is even. Maybe a suspension bushing? Much obliged :)
  7. Hey! Been finding great answers in this forum for the last year so thought I’d join :) I’ve been running a modified MKI Octavia Estate Laurin and Klement 1.9TDi manual 6 speed for just over a year as my daily and totally fell in love with it! And just found a really nice 2012 MKII vRS, DSG with low miles that I’m planning to do some improvements on this year :)
