  1. Hi all, I'm wanting to change my wheels from summer to winter but am wondering if there is something I'm not doing right? I fit the ratchet on the lug nut, 17mm, but it doesn't budge. There doesn't appear to be any key or special feature on the lug nuts so I presume that I can just use a regular ratchet. My previous car was a 2004 hatchback and I could do the wheel changes easy and quick, with the occasional lug nut needing a bit of body weight on top of it. Is it something to do with new fancy cars or is it just the 1400Nm of torque that requires a power tool to loosen? Cheers, Sean
  2. Thanks all, Now I know that it's by design I'll come to love it, for its niche airflow inlet and rain cover protection, rather than just be suspicious that some one put an old bonnet on it 😁
  3. Hi all, New Skoda superb mk3 owner here, and forum member, and I have a question about something that has been bugging me since I recently purchased the car. Specifically, the bonnet looks like it overhangs the front side panels of the car on both sides. Is this something that all the cars have, and if so, why? I saw another superb in a car park today and had a quick look at its bonnet, and it also seemed to overhang. At the very least they are not flush. Seems to also have quite a gap in the front of the bonnet, between that and the grilk/front the car. Was this just an odd design choice? Thanks in advance. Steve
