Hi everyone, Since this weekend I’m the proud owner of a Škoda Octavia 1.0 eTSI DSG hatchback, a wonderful car so far. Unfortunately, I’m running into the following issue: When the engine is still cold, it hesitates and jerks (see video); the revs don’t climb smoothly at around 2000 RPM. Im keeping the accelerator pedal at the same spot for the entirety of the video. The same thing happens when I accelerate out of a roundabout: between 2,000 – 3,000 rpm the engine stumbles in the same way. A few minutes later, once everything is up to temperature, the engine runs perfectly again. In the video you can see the oil temperature at around 90 degrees - this was after a 2-3 minute drive, sot he gearbox oil was probably not up to temperature yet. While the problem occurs, my OBD scanner records the fault code P228C00. Online search results are almost exclusively related to diesel engines, but my car is the petrol version. Is this a known issue with the 1.0 eTSI? Has anyone else experienced this issue as well?
