  1. Hi all - is anyone able to explain how to get the back window glass out on a mk3 estate please? I have done the front door before - easy. I have the back door regulator out and the glass released but I can't figure out how to get it out. Help please!
  2. Hi - I bought my Scout as an ex South West Ambulance Service rapid response training vehicle. It's great - drives spot on and I have 25 pages of service history. Most of the kit had been ripped out and I have fixed almost all the mess that the decommissioning had left. I have left the leisure battery and split charge system in the boot until now. Can anyone look at the photo and tell me what some of the items are? I would like to remove anything that was for lights/sirens/comms, but would like to keep whatever is needed to keep the split charge working and run some lights, a usb or two, and a 12v for a fridge all off the leisure battery.
  3. Have been gradually picking up the bits I need. Got the right angle tool, tweezers, wheel wrench, jack, jack handle, tyre repair goo, and towing eye. Have the handle for the screwdriver but not the reversible screwdriver bit lol. And looking for a compressor if anyone has one kicking around?
  4. Ended up getting unused secondhand Menabo Brio 120cm bars for £25. Think Lidl were selling them a while back. They fit reasonably well and are quite simple to use. Not quite as heavyweight aluminium as an OE bar but will do fine.
  5. I wanted the raised boot floor so I did my own. It's not quite as complex as the OE Mk3 version - more like the Mk2 - but i'm very happy and now can have a level floor with seats folded down for long loads or a mattress. All measurements available for anyone that wants to do it too. Octavia Mk2 Estate Variable Floor - £20 from U-Pull-It (back edge cut slightly shorter and different shape to fit mk3 124mm Wide Strips of 18mm Chipboard - £0 from B&Q Offcuts Bin 100mm Wide Strips of 18mm MDF - £0 from B&Q Offcuts Bin Anthracite Acoustic Lining Carpet & Glue - £9.45 from ebay
  6. Not that strange Dave - you used different bases 🤣 I had OE A4 Avant bars (secondhand) on my Exeo and the shape of the feet didn't wrap very nicely around the Octavia bars. Am looking for secondhand OE Octavia estate bars but wondering if I can expand the search to Golf, Leon at least? I guess I will be sneaking around supermarket car parks looking at the shape of roof rails lol.
  7. My Exeo/Audi A4 Avant roof bars didn't really fit the Octy Estate so I sold them with the car. Has anyone found OE bars from other models that fit well? Do Mk2 Octy bars fit? Assume Golf estate and Leon estate fit too? Any other manufacturers?
  8. I got it from someone in the same position as you - cluttering the loft and was going to landfill - I paid the postage and she was kind enough to wrap it all and take it to the post office. Maybe someone on here needs one though?
  9. Cheers i'd love a photo if you could Occy - mainly to see how the jack sits.
  10. Update - it's this type of insert. I have managed to get the wheel wrench and the scissor jack along with the jack handle. I can see where the jack handle sits but unclear on where the jack goes - it's probably obvious and i'm being a bit thick lol
  11. I don't have anything, so looking for wheel wrench, jack, and all above items.
  12. Thanks - mine is the big insert for where there is no spare of any kind. Assume there is a compressor and some tools and a can of tyreweld? Would love a photo. Also interested in any of the bits if anyone has replaced with a proper spare.
  13. I recently bought the foam insert for the spare wheel well in the boot. I now need to try and get all the bits that should be in it. Has someone got a photo and/or a list of what goes where please?
  14. Thanks varaderoguy - everything seems to work with no errors or warnings. Might add puddle lights sometime.
