  1. Hi @Yety that's the most logical reply I've had...it does make sense they would design it so water could flow out the back. Attached is a picture from somebody with a diesel and if you look closely (easier on a phone so can zoom in) it does look like something attached to the two holes (see my original pictures 4 and 5). The LH side picture is mine and you can see the holes are open and the RH is their diesel and it does look like something is clipped into the two small square holes. Would you be kind enough to have a look at yours (the lid is easy to pop off) and see if there is anything slowing down the air flow out the back of the duct or is it completely open like mine? Many thanks.
  2. Perhaps I wasn't clear - I have the lid for the airbox - see picture. Even with the lid on, the air that comes in from the front grill seems to be able to flow straight through and it is this that I am questioning and whether there should be some sort of plastic panel that blocks the air from exiting at the back of the air duct and is that what the two small square holes in picture 4 and 5 (see previous post) are for , for it to clip into? Any petrol Yeti owners out there (particularly 1.8Tsi) happy to take the lid off the air duct (its really easy) and take a look or a quick picture?...would be much appreciated.
  3. Hi, Recently bought a 2014 facelifted Yeti 1.8Tsi 4x4 as a weekend round around, camping, doing stuff as a family, get me through winter weather etc. I have had a nosy around it and something is puzzling me. The front air duct seems to be designed (or is missing a part) that means the air that comes in just seems to pass through. I appreciate that when the engine is running it will suck the air in. I have attached a few pictures with the lid off. Just seems a bit of a strange design and has made me wonder if I am missing something that blocks the air from going out the back to channel more into the main air filter. First picture which has me pointing my finger is where the air comes in through the grill. Second and third picture is trying to show that the air can just flow straight through into the engine bay. Fourth and fifth picture shows a couple of holes where I wonder if some sort of plastic blanking plate is supposed to attach. Could be fine and perhaps how the petrol models are and perhaps the diesels have a blanking plate or could be a common VAG part and other makes / models use it differently. Is there a kind soul out there with a 1.8Tsi (or other petrol model) that would be happy to pop the lid off their air duct (its a 5 second job) and take a look if same as mine? Thanks, Ian.
  4. Just taken delivery of a 2025 Superb iV and pretty much figured out everything. One thing that I haven’t worked out is that the online manual states it is an adjustable front armrest but I can only see the button that opens it (the two halves open up). How does it adjust as would be nice to raise it up a little?
  5. I'm new to this forum so hello all. Just taken delivery of a new Superb Estate iV which I'm really happy with after not clicking with my previous Audi A6 Avant. This will be my third Superb over the years. One thing I did like about my Audi was the brake hold function. I know the Skoda has hill hold but when I pull up at traffic lights I have to keep my foot on the brake or put electronic handbrake on otherwise car rolls forward. The Audi would just hold itself until you depressed the accelerator and off you went. I have looked all over the settings and can't see if the Skoda has the same function as its a bit of a faff having to keep selecting the handbrake. Thanks, Ian.
