  1. it does not go down at all, regardless if half way or total press...
  2. So a few weeks back, when I was driving back from France to UK, when I got the the passport control, I realized my windows would not go down when pressing the buttons on the driver side window console (on the other doors, the buttons work fine). So as the car has got some 2 years warranty left with Skoda, I called had it booked in for them to investigate. Before I got there , I also took a couple of simple videos, of this issue (could feel life playing tricks on me). I got to the Service, (Marshall Skoda in Dartford), left the car there in the AM, and went to work. At 4.30 PM I get a call saying that the car was inspected, but the fault could not be found, as the windows were all working normally and that I have to pay them 174£ for the time lost as they could not find anything wrong with it. I told them about the videos, but they said these were not accepted as the video must film the dash lighted up, showing the engine running and the window in the same frame... which no one told me before... Anyway I agreed to pay the 174£ with the condition if the fault reoccurs in the coming days, they will need to refund this, as long as I take a video of this, as per their requirements. Surprise surprise, next day, same issues appear, the windows would not work again, hence I had to call them back and all. I am now booked to go back there next week to leave it for 2 days, and get them to investigate this once more (and hopefully get my money back as well) to try and replicate or see the fault this time, and see what is what. I noticed this occurs more on the wet/cold days... Has anyone else experienced these issues, and what was the fix? Car is 2022 Skoda Superb iV SE Tech. As a side note, I am thinking to ask them how much would retrofitting a USB-C on the rear view mirror would cost, has anyone had this done/costed as well? as I am hopeless with car fiddling, so would not be able to do it myself
  3. For a week now, without me updating or fidling with anything, i get this message when I try and go into the SHOP section of the infotainment menu. I use it to see how many GB i have left for the internet pack i purchased ( i use iradio a lot). It used to work fine before that. There is no update available in the Notification section... Anyone else had this?
  4. Thanks for the above info to all, very much appreciated. Can I just ask, what kind of infotaiment system is this for? I have the 2022 Superb iV SE Technology with the infotainment with two round buttons either side... 8 inch screen i think. Will the above work for mine as well? I am on 0302...
  5. Hi guys, Need your input on something as its the first time I buy a car from a dealer, especially a Skoda dealer. Have set my sights on a Skoda Superb iV (2022), full service history with the main dealer, and even a major service done just last week, as a sign of how professional they are. Have decided to bite the bullet and sign the dotted line for the car, with a view to collect the car on Saturday. Problem is, as I was just browsing for different stuff, I came across the GOV's recall service checker, and checked it there and to my surprise, the car looks like it has been recalled - are the dealers allowed to sell vehicles that have outstanding recall issues? Especially advertising these as manufacturer approved? I have sent them a message, maybe they can confirm the recall work was done, but in the service records they printed and showed me, there was no mention regarding any recall work done... What is your take on it? Also, is there a placed where I could check what was the recall about, as the gov website does not say what is is for... (neither the skoda one)
  6. Quick update on my one, the dealer , despite accepting my rejection, still hasn't collected the car from me (actually from the side of the road where it broke down), so that seems like an ongoing battle... but in other news I decided to buy the bullet on a Skoda Superb iV, 2022 Se Technology - hopefully this one is not as difficult as the octavia...
  7. Because if they fail to fix it to a satisfactory standard, I will be caught in a never ending back and forth with them regarding this car. If it would have been a simple issue, I would have taken a punt but even the RAC guy told me to give it back and ask for a redund as the issues he saw are serious.
  8. Thank you so much for such a detailed response. In regards to my particular issue, today I attempted to drive it again, and after 100m , all the errors reappeared. I parked the car by the side of a road and called RAC. The guy came and tested everything under the sun, and in the end said there is nothing wrong with the 12V, as it was holding charge and was charging normally (no faults on his tester) but there were alot of errors from the ECM and ECU - like the information fed to the different part was not good. He could also not clear the fault codes, as these were continuously reappearing. He could not do anything to make the car run and advised me to call the dealer that sold it to me to take it back - which I did by invoking the CRA 2105 act (its a thing here is UK) and will just ask for a full refund and let them deal with it. Now my dilemma is if I bite the bullet with another Octavia iV or not... and if I do, what do I look after in the next one...
  9. Thanks Edela, Car was serviced with Skoda for the first 2 services only (2022 and 2023), not sure if these updates were ever applied. Do you reckon if the updates are applied, this will fix the parasitic drain of the 12V and the other issues? Car was bought les than 30 days ago, and to be honest, this issue is making me thinking to use the "reject right" under the CRA 2015 30 days period - but if it would be an easy fix, I would hate to give it back as I really like it but would have to be stuck in a never-ending back and fort to fix it with the dealer I bought it from... Also, are Skoda main dealers the only ones that can update these or is it possible to do it through Skoda Approved dealers as well (as I have a Skoda approved garage nearby)? I have an ODB 2 and managed to scan it with Car Scanner, these are the Errors I got after today... Thanks for all your input regarding this, new to this world , and a bit on the shaky side... 10. so long story short, I have the car for 400 miles now, bought it 3 weeks ago, but out of the 3 weeks, i've been on holiday for the last two weeks. Today when I returned from holiday, I picked it up from the airport and 2-3 miles into the drive, the whole dash lighted like a xmas tree showing a bunch of errors (which you can see ath be link here). This is the second time this is happening. First time it happened a few days after I bought it - gave me a few errors, turned the car off and then back on, and started working normally, no errors, no issues . Today, the faults started and it made the car go into limp mode. I managed to pull by the side of the road, in a safe area, and tried starting it multiple times, but the errors kept appearing, car wouldn't move and the check engine light stayed on. Turned it toff and asked for RAC to come to my rescue. Initially they said they will be there in 1 hour, then they changed to 3-4 hours. I could not just stay there, after a long day on flights, so i tried the car once more, and to my surprise, it started and it worked fine (yellow check engine light was still on). Have already contacted the dealership to see what they gonna do about it, but has anyone experienced something similar? 2021 Skoda Octavia iV, 1.4 PHEV with 28k miles Videos Here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1k72kjhSGXbYq9nmN3mSiAD_MdZQofogi?usp=drive_link
  11. Thank you so much for the information and great insights. Have also been called by the local dealer (Marshall Dartford) and they confirmed it is not work due on the number of years, but on the number of miles, and they said to give them a call back whenever the car gets to 38-39k miles, as its every 40,000 miles.
  12. thanks for sharing and probably a stupid question, but here it goes - how do you change these?
  13. Has anyone changed the oil in their PHEV's Octavia DSG gearbox as per the recommended service schedule at 4 years of 40,000 miles? If so, can you advise indicative prices received from the dealers? I have got some quotes from independent garages (£250-£350) and still waiting on the dealer to advise, as I called my local one (Marshall Dartford), but they have not called back yet to let me know how much this will cost... Also, does it have to be 4 years, or can I wait until 40,000 miles (car is currently 28k miles) Thanks in advance for your answers
