We’ve had this very issue on our Kodiaq with 50k miles on the clock. After an hour of driving, it put the gearbox in emergency box, and started skipping even gears. Turning ignition off and on would temporarily reset the problem. After multiple authorised Skoda Marshall delaerships let us down (their first appointment was in 2 months 🙄), 3D Transmissions in Tilehurst have done a fastastic job at replacing mechatronics unit of our Skoda DSG gearbox. £2900 later we are all sorted.
