My thanks was to you, sorry I didn't use quote function but am learning daily! I had same prob as OP so that's solved, I've just got to work out how to get the "courtesy" function to work when opening and closing the doors but that's less important as I can now switch on and off manually.

Glad I found this forum, my courtesy lights have been on ever since it last went to the garage, so thanks. Now they don't come on when opening the door but at least the footwell lights do so it's less of a problem.
