Hi
That's great. What engine is in that 1.6 or 1.9 and is it as good as the Mk 1?

Ok Iβm new here with my battle scared 04 plate 1.9 pd. Had it checked over today by mechanic and good news is it lives and is fairly healthy. Mot due in March donβt know when cambelt last done but car seems like itβs been previously reasonably well looked after. Anyone any thoughts on this. Mechanic says should be okay for couple of thousand miles. Would hate it to die prematurely. Thoughts and experiences appreciated.

Hello all
Is it wrong to feel love for this banger Skoda Fabia 1.9 td. Bought urgently after work last Thursday after my mechanic said don't drive the Jeep 26 miles back home to West Yorkshire from Derbyshire as the steering link arm was about to drop out of ball joint. A young mate said get this it'll do you over Xmas as my 24 year old Saab also needs a part from Sweden and leaves me stranded when it feels like not starting. I have a BMC 1965 car sleeping for winter in my garage but that's definitely not coming out til brighter drier days. Had this checked today to make sure it's not going to become a pile of scrap steel on the long road home ( even though I've driven it since last Thursday evening) The great news is it lives and is fairly healthy and will only need a couple of drop link bushes next MOT end of March. From now on my mind will never wonder and switch off when anyone mentions their Skoda. I'm feeling the love for this especially as I have a car to get me through my busiest week of year in my shop. Anyone else have Skoda attachment issues. Thank you Skoda for saving the day( so far)π€π
