The coding it is a pain and I’ve had to go that way as like you haven’t been able to find anyone that can help with it, I consider myself to be technically savvy so decided to give it a try with ChatGPT as a helper but I’ve not been able to crack it yet and there seems not to be much info not to mention that the .bin files have encryption as well, but I’ve been able to get pass that bit lol, but am stuck as I said in the understanding what to change I know it is possible as other people have done it is just not documented well enough for me to follow lol, was about to open a post asking when I saw yours and said we might both get some help from people here :) hopefully

I am on the same boat as the op, but ok a pre FL one I have the absolute basic cluster I have been able to acquire the MFA+ (bigger screen cluster), and I have been able to read the eeprom on both is not difficult however that’s when am stuck at as I’d like to clone the immobiliser and odometer data but the files are difficult to understand, as far as I can comprehend if am able to identify the block for the immobiliser and the odometer is as simple as just copying from the original pasting and replacing the block on the donor and re uploading the .bin file to the donor cluster but there is very limited info about the positions of information on the bin files

I am aware this post is not new, but I am about to embark on the same journey myself, with repairing both looms, I have all the parts even the new rubber conduit from the body to the door the one that alleviates the cable fatigue problem, but I am unable to find wiring diagrams for the big connector that connects the door electrics to the body of the car, I want to add more cables to retrofit the car with electric side view mirror, do any of you guys know or have the wiring diagram? is adding these cables worth it? as I am aware the main loom behind the dashboard might not have all the cables to connect it all.

So I have found a Russian forum that does details what is needed to connect the radio stalk to a Dance radio on a 2008 Skoda Fabia, the posts are good, however. bit lax on the end of the cable that connects to the radio is not clear which cable goes where they show the ELSA diagrams but I am an absolute newbie when it comes to reading wiring diagrams is there someone here that knows how to read them and willing to help with some knowledge? I am aware is almost a half a year later but the P/N you are looking is 5J0920941B, not found anywhere though best best is to find a car thats been sold for spares and ask to check a pick of the cluster I have a Fabia 2008 with the basic cluster been looking myself, as for the programing and coding, there isn't much I have found a Russian post that goes though the whole change and coding a bit of google translate and maybe should help https://www.drive2.ru/l/602337759536880513/ Hope it helps, apparently the BCM needs to be swapped too if you have an absolute basic one.

Hi all, my very first post, fairly new to the forum and to Skoda. I have a Fabia 2008 hatchback basic model which I am retro fitting slowly with the more advance little comforts inside, as a start I have upgraded the dashboard with one with the proper gloveboxes, am planning to update the instrument cluster and add maybe cruise control as I have read it is possible, as of now on my search for the cruise control bits I stumbled upon the Radio control stalk as per the picture below, I have install it to my car as it looks cool but has zero functionality as it is not connected, I need some help, in finding out: How is this connected to operate the radio? Wiring diagrams or if there is a control module I need to get If the Dance Radio is even compatible with this? I got it fairly cheap hence why I made the purchase. Any help from the forum would be greatly appreciated, I have searched to see if this has been talked about in any of the topics but have not been able to find anything so apologies in advance if there is a topic in which it has been discussed.
