  1. Thanks W193 - I called in Halfords today and they measured battery voltage at 12V engine off, and said battery function was ok. Then Alternator at tickover 13.3V and they said that's hardly enough to charge battery. Wasn't aware my car charges on braking/overrun, I'm a very light on brake use so guess that won't help. Can you give me a bit more detail about 'all control modules in sleep mode' (I think all was off when engine was off, except for the key fob which continually searches for the key I gather)
  2. Hi Guys Just bought 4 weeks ago my 18 mth old 2.0 TDI 200 Sportline MK1 and it's not charging the battery The battery is therefore needing charging up almost weekly I guess the Skoda Approved MPC Multi Point Checks do not test for output Anyway the dealer is trying to fob me off saying I'm not driving it enough Any experience of this problem - an alternator should not be failing in 18mth surely Feedback would be appreciated before I get the lawyers on them to do something meaningful
  3. Thanks Bap and Occy yes it's the brake 'disc bell' - a photo attached 1 of them is rust free (lucky ?) the 3 others are quite rusty/unsightly So I guess I'll rub down and paint them, assuming I can't get the dealer to do it. - Just found another problem - broken plastic trim passenger side centre tunnel -photo attached showing broken lugs I think they should replace this foc, but I'm worried now why they had this off before ? (car only done 10,200 miles)
  4. Hi all Just picked up my 2024 Kodiac Sportline 2.0 TDI (200) 4/4 yesterday, and I noticed that all 4 inner wheel hubs are showing signs of rust. Just looking for some advice / support to use against the garage when I speak to them to get something done about it. I guess it's not so rare, and will probably get worse over time maybe they can be rubbed down and a protective coating applied ? tks Gez
