I've just registered in this forum to say thank you! I recently bought a 2022 Octavia Sportline 2.0 TDI and although it came packed with extras, the glove box cooling was not part of it. Did a search on google to see if it would be possible to fit it and it landed me here. I got the parts from Aliexpress for 19.80 eur. I followed you instructions and the installation went smoothly, no surprises, all as you described. Mine is a left hand drive but everything was mirrored on right side of the car so, no issues there. I did notice, while searching for the parts, that the valve and hose kit may be sold as left or right side but there is absolutely no difference. It is the same for both sides. Thanks again for posting such detailed instructions.
