[Thinking of buying a VCDS]

You need a CAN compatible cable, so a cheap eBay one won't be that useful. You need a proper hex+can or a microcan cable from Ross Tech.

[Thinking of buying a VCDS]

I have a 2005 1.9 TDI PD Estate. How can I tell which cable is suitable? There are some on Fleabay for about £10/£12 saying they are suitable for the 1Z chassis, but I'm unsure as to the quality. Also is my car Hex-Can or something else.

[changing octavia rear wiper]

Dunno why people hae issues with wipers. Turn the wiper arm so its clear of the glass and gently rock the tip, this gives massive leverage on the splned end and will pop off very easily.

With the note that I've not tried your way yet although it makes sense, because most people get taught my way I think.

[Rear Screen Washer not working]

I had exactly the same problem over the bad freeze we had, but My car is a 1.2 mpi and it had come off at the bulkhead and only took a couple of min's to snap back on.

Just got a Fabia estate, 1.4mpi, anybody tell me how they run when the engine has loosend up,like acceleration,top speed etc.
