  1. Still trying to sort time off with work, but hopefully going to make this. Would be a great day out. Fingers crossed!
  2. Thanks Richard, the heavy old girl needs some more power, but it goes well for a standard car. I just wish it was raining Good old piece of wood with two holes drilled for the headrest posts to slot through works rather well, and for free!
  3. My video is finally up http://youtu.be/_CsexKWJ_ps?list=UUQdlTh5H-aqF6-BrSUBzo1g
  4. Could be worse... I'm sure the driver and passenger of this M3 had to go and change their heavily soiled undergarments after this lucky escape! https://www.flickr.com/photos/98963366@N08/15043158768/in/set-72157647514385046/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/98963366@N08/15206712976/in/set-72157647514385046/ Thanks to Jason for organising it once again, had a good time out on track in the R32. The Briskoda session as always was the best, the session I had in the afternoon was interesting to say the least. Not sure I'll do another one of those, far too many close calls for my liking. I'm uploading my video, but as always it's taking hours!
  5. Nice to be joining the Briskoda session again, I've been doing them for 5 years now, and even now I don't own a Skoda - it's still a great day out. See you all on Saturday!
  6. Cheers Gareth! The Weitec's are still going strong on the fabia by the way! I went to coilovers with the fabia as it was still ridiculously high even with Eibach springs on, but the golf is a better ride height to start with anyway, so I feel the H&R's would give the perfect height I'm after! Only thing I'm a little weary of is the tyres are giving a little rubbing in hard cornering on the rear end already, so I don't want to lower it and have issues. Are your Turini's a 42 offset as well? They stick out a little further than I was hoping! Or could be the Michelin's which have a huge rim protector on them whereas the Pirelli's on the front wheels don't. Do you mind PM'ing me with a pic of your car on the H&R's?
  7. That's the reason I bought a 55 plate car, and the tax is £280 for the year 06' onwards is the higher bracket.
  8. It's been a while since I have posted anything on here, mainly due to me selling my fabia to a friend last December, and me picking up my next choice of car! Also work commitments have kept me rather busy, and I'm not getting to do as many trackdays as I'd like - however I should rectify that rather soon! A bit of a difference from the fabia, but I have always loved the mkV R32 and this one came up locally in the spec that I wanted (Shadow Blue + DSG + leather), and for a great price. Mechanically it has FSH, however when I bought it, it needed a bit of tlc, and I'm gradually getting it to how I want it. I specifically wanted a DSG mated to the 3.2 V6 motor, as I find it suits the power delivery best of all. It's a complete change from the driving experience of the fabia, initially it felt much slower, however it is so smooth that you don't notice the speed you are piling on. Also the 4-Motion traction is addictive - especially in the wet, it just grips and goes with no fuss. What really gets me though is the character this car has, the sound is just epic, and one of the main reasons I just had to own a hatchback with a large motor in it. They are a thing of the past, in this modern turbo world of economy and emissions :( The car was completely standard until this last week when I purchased a set of Speedline Turini's from Wardy off this site. At 4kg a wheel lighter each than the standard ones, the car feels much more sprightly - even if it is still a lard-arse! So this is how it is looking at present! Personally I'm thinking of a set of H&R springs to settle it 25mm would give the perfect ride height, but that is on the to-do list!
  9. I'm afraid now, pending a deposit, these are now sold. Thanks for looking.
  10. I have tried, but it says I cannot send you PM's
  11. Unfortunately I'm away at the moment so can't take any pictures, but it is in good used condition. Everything is complete. I'd rather collection, however can look into posting next week once back in the UK. Thanks
  12. Thanks for looking, but I would rather them go as a complete set.
  13. Here we have my set of 4 standard Fabia vRS wheels. They are in good overall condition, but have been repainted at home in the past, so the finish isn't what a paint shop would do! They also come with vRS centre caps. Two tyres are Bridgestone Turanza's both with around 3mm of tread. The other two are Hankook's one with 6mm of tread and the other with 3mm. I'm looking for £160 collected from the Stroud/Gloucester area. Thanks for looking
