Retired septuagenarian. 

Early career in RAF as a ground communications engineer (20 years). Followed that by 20 years working for Met Police in New Scotland Yard, also in communications that was becoming highly computerised. Spent remaining few years of working life with a small but successfull computer support company as a Windows desktop support specialist. 

I've always been keen on tinkering with motors and did all my own maintenance and repair in earlier years. Since retiring... 

Drove a Reliant Kitten on the Mongol Rally from Hyde Park to Ulanbaataar. 

Drove a Tuk-tuk from Jaisalmer to Fort Cochin (Kochi), India - just over 3,000km. 

Oh for the simplicity of pre-computerised cars!
