  1. Well, it made it more visible because it was all blinking like a Christmas tree, thus taking attention of other road users to your Christmas tree instead of paying attention to other road conditions and users, thus lowering overall safety. My opinion. Btw. I am quite sure car with this turned on should not pass MOT, at least here in Slovenia it would fail. If the visibility and safety is priority, the safe way is to lower drl luminosity when turn signal is on, as old Audis had. Thus turn signal is more visible, no Christmas tree and there is still some visibility of the drl led, thus also car is still visible. Again, my opinion. Or you can go full Turkish way with blinking rear brake lights, front fog light, etc. Though it doesn’t mean it is smart or nice looking, if it is possible.
  2. Cheapest noname parts are usually of really low quality. Why don’t you just buy a used genuine Skoda part? I would. And it should be even cheaper than new noname part and definitelly of much, much better quality and durability.
  3. My Octavia ''cheered me up'' with Error: cornering light AFS warning and the xenon lights were lowered to its lowest position. Diagnostics showed C1036 15 Rear Left Ride-Height Sensor open or short to plus trouble code, so it was clear that the rear height sensor is toasted. Or the wiring to it. When removing it, it was clear that the sensor is faulty, because it was completelly blocked. When ordering the sensor it was a complete mess, because the part nr. 5Q0907503 printed on the old sensor showed completelly different sensor. After some additional search I finally found the correct part nr. 5Q0512521E. A complete step by step tutorial for replacing the sensor is available here: Hope it helps. If you have basic knowledge and tools, you should be able to replace it in cca. 1 hour. Cost of the sensor was only cca. 60 EUR, so I (and my Octavia) are happy again :). PS: According to my colleague mechanic this sensor blockage is quite common on VAG cars. PS2: sensor location and replacement instructions are valid also for all other Skoda cars in the last 20 years, with minor adjustments (location, sensor).
  4. So you have pACC on your 2015 car with your factory ACC sensor? Do you have Front Assist settings under Driver Assistance settings?
  5. Your car must be one in the world to have predictive cruise control ;). What was coded on this car?
  6. They ALL have eyelashes, the question is only if they are LIT.
  7. If you check out what people are doing while driving, than you understand immediatelly why so many drivers drive in the fog without turning on low beams with rear lights, yet alone turning on rear fog lights.
  8. Also on the cars with auto lights rear DRLs are extremelly usefull from safety point of view. For example one situation in which auto lights fail 100%: fog (without rain) during day. And than you see a lot of cars driving in the fog without any lights at the back which is crazy unsafe. I have rear DRL on all my cars and I recommend them to all my customers.
  9. You cannot adjust the TIME. Check in the light settings that you have Switch-on time set to LATE.
  10. Without retrofitting the butron it is not possible to activate driving mode selection.
  11. iV indeed has a sound generator, because it is a hybrid. If I remember correctly there is a legal requirement for electric cars to have sound generator. Also electric Citigo should have it. I can confirm that eUp has it and is really annoying, because it has poor sound insulation.
