Correct
The vrs estate 3rd brake light is bonded in and if you need to replace it, it is a real pain in the............ because it is not just the fact that it is bonded in but all the disassembly and reassembly work needed.
Here is an outline of what you need to do
Removal
Remove the bonding off the old one to free the unit from the spoiler
Then remove the trim panel at the top of the screen (carefully as not to break it), unplug the unit and cut the plug off.
Then pull the cable though and the unit will remove.
Reassembly.
Take the replacement unit and dismantle
Desolder the cables form the circuit board
Take the disordered cable and feed though the hole into the spoiler
Resolder the cable onto the circuit board and temporally plug the unit in to check it works
This is now the tricky bit; make sure that the circuit board is properly sealed back into the unit!
Take the unit and bond back into the spoiler
Take the plug, plug it back in and then replace the trim piece
In the first couple of years I had 3 on mine all under warranty and the dealer admitted they hated doing the job!

OR NOT
I did mine on Wednesday , 30/-6/2020 . Got a confirmation all was OK. BUT , on the on-line thing ,that all we punters get to see , It's still not taxed .So -off today to DVLA - APPARENTLY THERE'S TWO SYSTEMS -ONE FOR JOE PUBLIC ,AND TE ONE THE POLICE USE .
PITY THEY CAN'T GET THEIR KNOCKERS ( OR KNICKERS) INTO FOCUS .
if you can prove that it has been paid for ie the reciept off the webiste you officaly now have a 5 day window in which to get the tax though the post and dispaly it.

I have in the past seen my dad get over 80k out of a set of pads and on his last car 60 k on a set of disks and pads.
However I have just had to replace the disks and pads on my mk1 vrs @ 44k not due to them wearing out but due to the fact that the harsh winter and all the salt on the road has seen them off.
also it is worth remembering that break pads no longer have asbestos in them so the compound is harder and will "eat" the disks and this is why disk are now being replaced at the same time as pads and more often

this may sound like a daft question but hold on
when it is doing it, is it on a poor surfaced road or is it every time regardless of the road?
the reason for asking is that I have noticed on my sdi fabia on particulary poorly surfaced roads at low speeds the absis kicking in beucase it is thinking that the wheels are loosing traction and kicking in due to a wheel hitting a rough bit of road. it has only recently become more obvouse as the roads have rapidly worse after this winter. I know that again I have had on the same piece of road my octi vrs do exactly the same thing at slow speed

Just to throw something slightly different into the mix have you looked at LG 32LF7700 its a full HD freesat TV?
http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/lg/32lf7700/lg-32lf77starstar
as it has a tuner for analog, freeview and freesat. This would allow you to get free to air HD now with BBC HD/ ITV 1 now and it is about the same sort of money as most of the others you are looking at.
The downside with any freeview TV at the moment is in order to get a HD immage you will need a new box but not with an HD freesat telly as they are already desing to get the HD signal!
The only downside with it is that it is only 50htz but I have had one now for about 2 months and watched some of the football in HD and films off my ps3 and it's spot on for me.
It is defiantly worth a look at as an option as also you will be able to access BBC Iplayer with an internet connection though it

with some work phoning round you can turn up some really good premum tyres.
I have three key things
1 budget tyes false economy - I tend to find they ware out more quickly
2 there is only a very small patch of rubber on the road
3 what price do I put on my safety and life
the current set on my octi are a set of mitchalins which by the time I had finished shopping round were cheeper than a lot of so called budget tyres

Number Plates & Tints
in Skoda Fabia Mk1 (1999-2007)
halford plates are great if you want legit standard spaced plates with no marking to be easly seen
on the halford plates the company logo / post code is the same colour as the background ie yellow on yellow and white on white.
this is why you dont see the logo and they look like from a distance they are unmarked.
