How far back did you pull the rubber? The wires usually snap around half way. It seems abit strange that all these things are happening and it's all on the drivers side door so I'd double check your wires to be 100% sure.

i had to source a loom because mine had a total of 8 wires that had been broken and bodged previously by myself and 2 of them decided to break again so I've replaced it.

ive ordered new wires to replace the broken ones and will be doing a proper job this time, time to get the soldering iron out :D

Thanks, I just checked with my bro in law and he confirmed that the window switch was actually playing up before the door sensor issue so might not be related, I pulled the rubber right back (oi oi!) and all seemed fine, I will maybe check once more before I order the replacement parts. Seems odd that it hasn't effected the door lock as that locks and unlocks fine.

  2. Morning all,

My brother in law owns a 2011 Fabia Monte Carlo (my ex company car) and all of a sudden the sensor for the door open on the drivers door has stopped working, so the interior light doesn't come on and if your not quick to get the keys in the ignition then it locks again. The lock itself is working fine just not the sensor.

Also the drivers electric window switch has been temperamental but most the time doesn't work.

I have checked to see if any wires are broken between the door and body and all looks good, would it just be a case of a new window switch and door lock mechanism? I remember on Mk4 Golf's for example this used to happen when the internal mirco switches failed and wondered if it was a similar thing?

Did a search and couldn't find anything so apologies if this has already been covered!

    Regards

    Callum

  3. Hi and welcome to my sale, here we have a brand new set of H&R's that I never managed to fit to my company car before changing job & having to give the car back.

I bought these brand new last year from DT Tuning & have all the receipts etc...

The box has literally only been opened to have a look and that's it!

These are the 40mm version 28833-2

I would like either £100 collected or £110 posted which is a decent saving over new.

Paypal or bank transfer is fine, any questions please ask.

I'm located in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire GL15

    Cheers

  4. Thank you for your opinion, I am of course open to offers on it but I think at the price you state that would get you a std car with high miles, this has been modified in the proper way & is a well sorted car with low miles for the age.

I understand my price is top end of the scale but there is an awful lot of not great examples on the market & as stated before I am open to offers.

I would also prefer if you have further comments that you message me directly rather than post on my thread unless you are interested in the car.

    Regards

    Callum

  5. £1995

This is still available, now has 12 months ticket, had a CV boot and new front pads for the MOT (only advised but had them done), mileage is rising slightly due to daily use.

This is a great fun car, whoever buys it will love it!

Please contact me if you would like further details.

    Cheers

  6. Now SOLD.

    £2100

    Seat Leon Cupra 2002 Blue 1.8T 228bhp

I bought this car just over a month ago due to a change in job & having to return my Mk3 Octy VRS company car :'( , this was always going to be a temporary car but I have really grown to like it! However it's now time to move it on & let somebody else enjoy it!

The lad I purchased it from had used it as his daily drive for the past 3 years, he'd bought it from a colleague who owned this car for 8 years, it has always been maintained well, receipts have been kept for all purchases, it has been maintained at the same garage for over the past 10 years!

The car is super clean inside & out, everything works as it should, full credit to the previous owners, please do not mistake this for just another Leon with a remap as it's so much more, it's had an absolute fortune spent on the chassis, brakes, exhaust & engine (receipts for everything), it's had a lot of rolling road time & driving it reflects that as driving normally it's very refined, you wouldn't realise, then open it up & it goes like a rocket, but balanced & controlled, it's not noisy or harsh just a great all round car, perfect to enjoy or maybe turn into a track toy or even an ideal conversion base. The car is completely standard looking, you would struggle to tell what a wolf it really is!

    Key points below:

    115,000 Miles
    FSH
    MOT December 2015
Stage 2 Remap 228 BHP (Badger 5 Dyno)
Full Milltek Turbo Back Exhaust Inc. 200 Cel Sports Cat
    Green Cotton Air Filter
    Uprated Sachs Clutch
    Koni FSD Shocks
    Eibach Pro Kit Springs
    Eibach Anti Roll Bar Kit
INA Engineering Uprated Engine, Gearbox, and dogbone mounts.
    Forge Silicon boost/vac hoses
    Forge Silicon Coolant Hose Kit
    APR R1 Diverter Valve
4x Michelin Pilot Sport 3 Tyres good amount of tread left
    Poly bushed all round
Uprated discs & pads all round
    Led interior lights
Alpine MP3 CD Head Unit, Alpine 6 CD MP3 Changer, Alpine iPod Cable
(new turbo fitted Dec 2007, cambelt & water pump @ 103K)
    HID 4300K headlights

    Points to note:
A few stone chips on bonnet
Headlight switch turns fogs on with headlights
Due to the engine work it has to be ran on Super Unleaded

I am in no rush to sell, whoever buys this will love it, I would possibly consider a part ex of similar value, or money towards something right like a Mk2 Octy VRS or would also consider a Superb etc..

It only needs a FMIC to take it to stage 3 and add a healthy bit of extra boost again!

Car is located in Bream, Nr Lydney, Gloucestershire GL15

Any questions please ring or text, I have very limited signal at work so will reply at lunchtimes or evenings.

    Cheers

  7. H&R springs installed in mine VRS!

First impression after some tests- PERFECT!

    Second impression - i need spacers   :D

Just bought a new kit of Eibach Pro Spacer 15mm from a local shop - 70€ with screws - and it fits 5* in the back

After some more kms i will think about spacers at front, but for now it´s

We need pics! Got to wait another week till I fit mine :(

  8. If you buy a Golf 7 GTD, you can purchase a sport & sound pack wich includes sport exhaust sistem.

You can find sound clips on youtube with Golf equipped with this pack.

Does anyone know what this sport exhaust system consists and if it can be fitted on O3 vRS TDI?

    BR

    Cip

Kufatec offer the kit for an Octy 3, however it is big bucks (approx £1k) and is still only a fake exhaust note, no performance gains! There are a couple of companies that offer these but they are still all the same sort of money!

It is one of the things when I was trying to decide between a GTD and VRS that I wanted, but no option on the Skod for it!

  9. I also spoke to DTUK as well, they quoted £150 to re-programme it for a VRS and £50 for the loom, plus no warranty or free software updates, so for that it put me off slightly, hopefully someone with a 1.6 TDI will need one soon!

Mine took a while to sell for my old Monte, I'm sure it will go in the end!
