  1. Well, after a few years away I have rejoined the active ranks of Briskodians thanks to this http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/249573-mk-1-octavia-vrs-02-fsh-black-magic/page__gopid__3097561#entry3097561 Its good to be back !
  2. And bought by me She is a cracking car, a credit to all her previous owners, shame the snow made it difficult to give her a full run out on the journey home though Dont worry, I will take good care of her.
  3. Lol, I have used them for a couple of years Have tyres delivered to choice of fitters locally and never had any issues whatsoever.
  4. I know this a bit 'out of the box' thinking but why not plug the keyboard and mouse into their respective dedicated PS2 ports ? hence freeing up 2 usb slots, and if the monitor usb ports no longer function, why leave a connection into another usb port. There you go, thats 3 freed up already
  5. Thats what I thought, and where would the kids sit
  6. When I enquired about servicing costs for my 22 yr old 944 at my local Porsche centre they offered me a new Boxter as my courtesy car  (as an aside the costs were actually quite reasonable, but my independent specialist is cheaper )

  8. Why do I get the nasty feeling there is a lot more to this than meets the eye, such as he is not the father, but is being used as a cover for someone else ? :(
  9. My kids are now 9 and 10, in the summer we go camping, we have never had any problem fitting all the camping stuff in the Octy's boot and neither me nor SWMBO have needed to adjust our seats for the sake of more rear legroom.
  10. Like PSM I went from a lightly mapped Mk1 vRS to the TDi, not being used to driving diesels it took a little while to get used to the way it works, but my goodness, that torque surge is great. Also bear in mind that the mk2 Octy (in all forms) is quite a different beast to the Mk1. The biggest difference I noticed was that the Mk2 handles a lot better on the standard suspension compared to the Mk1 (IMHO).
  11. Stopped raining now, and all the snows gone :( Nice full moon though
  12. I chose to change mine (front and rear) at 38K as they were getting low but probably had another few thousand left.
