And bought by me She is a cracking car, a credit to all her previous owners, shame the snow made it difficult to give her a full run out on the journey home though Dont worry, I will take good care of her.

Found a new tyre website, cheapest around!
MisterGT replied to devonutopia's topic in General Automotive Chat
Lol, I have used them for a couple of years Have tyres delivered to choice of fitters locally and never had any issues whatsoever. -
I know this a bit 'out of the box' thinking but why not plug the keyboard and mouse into their respective dedicated PS2 ports ? hence freeing up 2 usb slots, and if the monitor usb ports no longer function, why leave a connection into another usb port. There you go, thats 3 freed up already

When I enquired about servicing costs for my 22 yr old 944 at my local Porsche centre they offered me a new Boxter as my courtesy car  (as an aside the costs were actually quite reasonable, but my independent specialist is cheaper )

13 year old boy is a Dad.......................
MisterGT replied to Auric Goldfinger's topic in Off Topic Chat
Why do I get the nasty feeling there is a lot more to this than meets the eye, such as he is not the father, but is being used as a cover for someone else ? :( -
Like PSM I went from a lightly mapped Mk1 vRS to the TDi, not being used to driving diesels it took a little while to get used to the way it works, but my goodness, that torque surge is great. Also bear in mind that the mk2 Octy (in all forms) is quite a different beast to the Mk1. The biggest difference I noticed was that the Mk2 handles a lot better on the standard suspension compared to the Mk1 (IMHO).

Lol, my phone is still set to Florida time, better change it back Jason, The A386 is now clear outside my house. It wouldn't have taken so long to clear if the bloody snowplough didnt keep pushing it back on the drive !

........now to rescue the Porsche (clue its under the big pile to the left of the vRS ) measured 45cm in the back garden (thats level not drifting) and over 60cm on the moor

I drove up to Manchester and back again just after Christmas and averaged approx 48 mpg at NSL.

Fabia mk1 is very different in looks to the mk2 (google images will help ) , however as there is no Mk2 vRS then yours will be a Mk1.

Not too bad, but I prefer the original silver. Anyone tried this with sprint yellow yet ?
