Thanks guys, I'll bear all this in mind when I'm able to get out on a long speedy drive. I have to say though that my Yeti used to manage to get into 6th, the highest gear, at moderate speeds. I'm also pretty sure I was able to put it into 6th manually at 40mph, or thereabouts. So far, I've been unable to do that in the Karoq.

I see various articles that say my newly acquired Karoq, first registered in Feb 2020, has either 6 or 7 gears - which is it? Due to Covid semi-isolation, I've hardly driven the car since I got it 2 weeks ago, but so far I've only seen it show gears 1 to 5, and this is in conditions where my Yeti would be go into 6th gear. The Karoq has various modes as I'm sure you know, but I tried them all and it won't go beyond 5th - any ideas?

About to trade in my dear Yeti for a Karoq. I suspect not, but will the Skoda roof bars from my Yeti fit the Karoq?
