  1. Use a strong dose of APC brushed on,then rinse,should sort it.
  2. I take the blades off and clean using a old toothbrush and fairy liquid, job done.
  3. GSF have a 41% off everything promotion till sun 13 march, code march 41 if this helps.
  4. Try Euro car parts or GSF,I am sure they could do a better price.

I had the same problem on a mk 2 Passat 1.6 td, oil cooler was £30 exchange from a VW dealer,biggest problem is cleaning the oil sludge from the rad and pipes.I tried loads of cleaners and ending up using a pint of traffic film remover mixed with water, a ten mile run and a good flush cured it.
  6. Asda sell in the car section,around £7.00 for 3ltrs branded Redex.
  7. Check out Frost of rochdale, they sell quality american paints .
  8. £26.00 for 5ltr 504.00/507.00 spec for Asda's own brand.
  9. I have always used VW 507.00, never need to top up between yearly changes.
  10. Try Millers or Redex injector cleaner,might help.
  11. I had a similar problem on a mk2 passat ,tried a lot of different products but a pint of traffic film remover added to the coolant and a 10 mile blast down the motorway cleared all the crap out.
  12. liquid oven hob cleaner put on with a damp rag then polish off,couldn't believe how clean it left my screen.

    Has anybody tried the Autosmart MFs,not cheap but superior quality to Eurows.
  14. The QD spray is good but i am not impressed with the Speed wax, a bugger to buff off and the finish is nothing special.
  15. I have washed my car at work with TFR using a hot water Karcher and a foamer,secret is to rinse after a couple of minutes. I believe the TFR used was Autosmart Hazsafe.
  16. I believe Mahle also manufacture oil filters for the VAG group.

I had a similar problem on a mk2 passat,tried Radflush,fairy liquid and Gunk,none really worked.In desperation i put in a pint of traffic film remover and took the car for a 20 min run.i had to flush the rad 2 or 3 times but it did the trick.i should mention that i topped up the coolant system with tap water after i put the TFR in.
  18. I use a shampoo mix in a old spray bottle,works fine.
  19. I agree with Roto , had the same problem on a MK 2 Passat with the 1.6 Tdi engine, changed the oil cooler which i got from the main dealers for £30 exchange. biggest problem was getting the old oil out of the rad system.
  20. Yes, more split ends than a spotty teenager.I have not seen anything to match it for quality or softness,still not as good as a quality mitt but not far off.
  21. Hi chris, 2 coats of UDS and 2 of EGP left to cure for at least 1hour,like i said hard work to buff off.I wash at least once a fortnight due to salt spray using a 30yr old listerflex brush and Zipwax then dry with a MF towel.
  22. I use UDS with EGP on top, water still beads after 6 months,bugger to buff off.
