Appreciate the input. I am genuine when I ask if folk think it's priced correctly. I'd considered starting off at 8750 and taking 8500 but I genuinely don't think there is a nicer one currently for sale.

Mmm. I had this with my Kumho V700 hard compound tyres. Ended changing my driving style only slightly and it really helped. Having said that, it's a bit easier with 210bhp and 1100kg. Your thing is a monster

Getting some weight off will help the tyre wear issue. Are they wearing evenly?

Lovely looking car - GLWTS
Many thanks. I'm not totally sure why I replaced it now. Someone will get a lovely car though

Is this petrol or diesel?
Dan
It's petrol chap

You've got no chance, unless you're prepared to take a bit hit I'm afraid.

I'm in Sheffield. Price look too cheap/expensive? It's a tricky thing to price as there aren't many with that lower mileage.
I do get about a bit but hadn't planned on putting any more miles on it.

This is my wife's car, and has been from brand new. We bought it from Rainworth Skoda with the only options being;
Rear parking sensors
Spare wheel kit to replace the 'get you home' can of stuff
Split level boot floor
It also has the rear windows and back windows in limo tint.
It has full Skoda main dealer history with Rainworth/Bickerton Skoda. It's been done every year or 10000 miles. Not on variable servicing.
In December last year the timing chain tensioner failed and Bickerton fitted a new engine. This was all paid for by Skoda/Skoda UK/Dealer. It comes with a two year parts warranty on the engine as a result.
It had new pads fitted front and back late last year also (Pagids)
The has a new MOT from 15/4/15
The front tyres are a week old (Uniroyal Rainsport3) and the rear tyres are on 6mm (Falken 914s)
I'm not after a swap of any sort as she already has a new Scout that arrived last week.
Any questions please either PM or give me a bell if you're interested. 07983 377446
I had it professionally cleaned last week and isn't in use so the mileage won't go up.
It's got half a tank of fuel too

Looks good. Car is a 10 plate.
I also bought a citigo new from the same dealer for our office runabout car. I'm due some love back I reckon
Will keep you posted with progress
After a little persistence, I paid nothing towards the repair. New engine with two year warranty. I believe the dealer may have come to the party with it too due to me having bought a new Citigo off them for my office. It seems if you want goodwill, it needs to go both ways. Seems fair enough.
For sale now if anyone wants a low mileage car with a brand new engine.
-
Do you mind me asking where you took it to get the timing chain tensioner done?
-
I persisted with my skoda servicing despite the car coming back looking like it had been washed with a box of sticks after a service

It's done 50k with full on the dot history and bought from new from the dealer we serviced it at.

My car broke down wednesday. Cold start. Funny noise. No compression. Towed in yesterday.
Usual "can you authorise three hours labour for diagnosis despite us already knowing what's happened" question.
Will chase is next week.

Aaaaaaaand, another one.

The Wife reckons it cuts out now again. Anyone else come across this?

Can you get mudflaps fitted on the FL VRS?
-
I'll be passing over the snake tomorrow lunchtime, but haven't really got time to stop as I've got loads to do tomorrow avo. Are you local to there then?

Doing a Nurburgring trackday next month and want some uprated pads. Don't want to spend a fecking fortune so was thinking yellow stuff would do the job. Anyone used them already on one of these?
Thanks in advance

My mk2 Escort Rally car rides loads better than my FL VRS Estate. Light 13" wheels do wonders for the unsprung weight

I'd love you to drop in but unfortunately I'm daan sarf on Monday, sorry!
No worries chap. On the south side of sheff, so will drop in when she's run in maybe

Pick this up Monday. Quite excited. Might even visit shark performance on the way home. I'm driving past so....

I'm waiting for my tsi VRS DSG estate to arrive too. Don't forget this has been around with that engine/box combo in the golf gti for years now

Got £8300 for it. Bit less than I wanted, but I did have three Octavia estates last three weeks. And I only need two. Dealer offered me £6800, so a worthwhile venture.
