  1. Hi all,

Not been on here for a while but have a question that hopefully someone can help with. My sons Fabia has a few problems with the dash display, firstly neither the temp or fuel gauges are registering anything (they are not moving from zero) and the trip computer display will not switch away from its default position using the switch on the stalk. Anyone had this problem at all, is it likely to be poor connections on the dash connector as with other faults that I've seen on the forum?

The local dealer quoted £250 for the dash ECU, I know from experience that they don't do fault finding and will just keep changing bits until they are lucky enough to find the faulty assembly by which time you the owner are saddled with a huge bill.

Hope someone can help save him some money.

    Cheers

    Kevin

  2. Sounds like I'm going to need that good luck. Just had a quick look at the dials they dont light up at all except dipped light symbol when dipped is on, no displays present and rev counter is stuck at just under the 1000rpm point. Also just pushed car out of drive to get mine in, leaving ignition on whilst missus did the steering and the dash lit up. Car then started and we were able to move car under its own steam and park up, once parked up and switched off we were back to not starting again???

Thanks for the suggestions so far, think I know what I'll be doing saturday now!

  3. Hi all havent been on for a while but hoping someone can help. My sons Fabia 1.9 diesel will not run, when turning on ignition there are no lights coming up on dash at all, engine will turn over and start but will not run any longer than a few seconds. I suspect something may have blown a fuse. Any ideas?

  4. Yeh I know, Norfolk isn't ideal for fell running!! I have taken part in The Four Inns walk every year for the last 14yrs or so in the Peak District and we have got our time down to 11hrs 18mins over the last few years without running. The fell runners complete in just over 6hrs, so I aim to run some of it next year and see what difference it makes to our time. The Crossbay Run looks interesting, hard work I bet!

  5. <p>My number for the GNR is 35774, hoping to complete in around 2hrs. Would love to have a go at fell running sometime as I already take part in hill walking events. I wish you luck Superbfan its my 1st half marathon for over 25 yrs so will be interesting, I've also heard that the crowds are fantastic and really help you along the way. I certainly won't be walking home after the finish.:)
