  1. Would it be worthwhile trying a different different one?
  2. 2016 Superb, front assist has been showing as unavailable for a while. I have cleaned the sensor etc. I borrowed a friends OBD2 scanner and no codes have been found at all which I find strange. I was hoping it would just need calibrated. Would a code only show if there was a major issue? Is it likely just needing calibrated? Cheers
  3. Yeah I understand the codes cannot be cleared. Would the OBD2 scanner show the fault codes for the front assist? I'm hoping it just needs re calibrated. Cheers
  4. Is there anyone near East Kilbride (just South of Glasgow) who has OBDeleven, my front assist isn't working on my 2016 Superb and would like to know the codes and if its possible to clear them. Cheers
  5. I have a late 2016 L&K which I absolutely love. Owned it for 2 weeks now, however gutted I can't get a good run out due to current circumstances. I like to have the digital speedo on the middle display, however also like to have the range displayed as well. Is it possible to change the digital speedo to include to displaying the range? It currently has the compass on it which I'm really not fussed for. Cheers
  6. I bought a late 2016 Superb L & K with 85k miles on it yesterday. Make sure it has full service history and gearbox oil (if DSG) is changed when it should've been. VW engines are pretty bulletproof as long as they've been looked after and should go well into 150k miles easily
  7. I've had my 56 plate petrol vrs for just under 3 years now and loved owning it until now. Nothing much has went wrong with it except the usual tyres etc which is to be expected. Skoda replaced the osr backing plate last year and advised me rear brake pads were needing replaced, I held off replacing them for a couple of weeks, however the nsr backing plate decided to go as well. So I decided to get the backing plate and pads replaced at the same time. Before I did this the traction control light came on and stayed on and also my front passenger window decided to cease working. Booked the car in last week at Skoda to get everything sorted. They replaced the backing plate and the rear brake pads and informed me that both rear wheel bearings were done and needed replacing (there was a drone coming from the car, I assumed it was the backing plate) This cost me £498 They also advised me the window needs a new regulator at £200 and the best of all......the traction control fault showed it was a fault in the abs sensor and to replace would be £1500!!!!! Not sure whether to cut my loses and just trade the in for something else or keep it and live without the ABS, in saying that the timing belt will need replaced soon as well as the exhaust!!!! Car has done 92000 miles
  8. I have a 06 petrol VRS and this issue has happened twice in the last 2 weeks. It will start ok, however I cannot turn the steering wheel (no power steering) it's as if the engine is off and you can't turn the wheel. The oil light begins flashing and there is an audible beeping noise from the dash. If I turn the ignition off and back on again everything is ok and back to normal. Any ideas of the problem? Cheers
  9. The new vrs is a cracking looking car. I was very impressed with their display at Goodwood. The 4d film was ace as well with ice cream and.......a small shower lol!!!!! I think the new vrs would look amazing in black.
  10. I'm already going to it as well, tickets/wristbands should be with me tomorrow....can't wait to go. Also says in the letter that if you go to the Skoda stand and show the letter they will give you a gift????? Don't suppose it'll be the new vrs??????
  11. Go and see the car, you will know straight away if you like it or not. I like the yellow as it is rarer, all I ever see is race blue VRS. I have a red VRS and to be honest I always said to myself I'd never buy a red car, however when I saw my car I loved it. I also thought the VRS in green would look awful, however again I have seen a couple of them with black alloys and they look really smart. Go and see the car and you will know straight away.
  12. I have a 56 plate VRS with no maxidot etc. I bought a Columbus unit off eBay from again an Eastern European country. The Columbus I bought was advertised with an older firmware which would not cause battery drain, hence no need for new gateway. This has been the case so far with 4 months of ownership, no battery drain at all. Very happy with Columbus, brill sound etc. sat nav could be better, however I have no problems where it is mounted following directions when driving. I would recommend Columbus over any other integrated sat nav and its a doddle to fit.
  13. I have a 56 plate petrol VRS and while scraping to frost off the car this morning while the engine was running I noticed that the exhaust fumes were only coming out of the right hand side of the twin exhaust. Is this normal? I though the fumes would come out of both sides as they are close together. Cheers
  14. Black alloys on a white car look amazing. I have seen alot of the new corsas in white with black alloys and they look really cool (never thought I'd write that about a vauxhall....or corsa lol!!!!!) when you take delivery of the car you'll love it as it will look different to all the other vrs's!!!!
