Budget Dash Cam recommendations
sheep_go_baa replied to cmcm789's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
It's worth considering this Dashcam: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LLH9E84/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 There is a current promotion (that you have to opt into on Amazon) which brings the price down to £41.99 It features in the top ten of recent Dashcam comparison reviews with top features being wide angle and handles well at night. It is fairly small too. -

Illegal number plates - does more money mean less sense ?

The insurers would still pay for the third party costs/compensation. The insured would not received any payout for their vehicle if the mods would have meant the insurance company they are with would not have insured the car in the first place. -
I got in my car this morning and pulled off the drive, applied the handbrake which has suddenly become very stiff to take off. The car is driven daily with normally two or three journeys and have never had any problems with the handbrake. It is normally on a flat drive overnight and stored in first gear and the handbrake off. I drove the car on three separate occaisions at different times of the day yesterday and all was working perfectly. I left the car overnight in first gear with the handbrake off, as normal. Then when I drove the drive this morning the handbrake has become very stiff as above. Is this a major issue, or do I need to apply some lubrication somewhere (on the car!)? The main issue is that I am planning on driving down to Cambridge tonight and don't have time to get to a garage before I go. Cheers, Andy

The only film I can think of is "V for Vendetta"? Good film too. If it's not the right one, get it anyway

Will the washer fluid still go through the headlight washer lines even though the fuse has been taken out? Basically what is the fuse for: ~ is it to stop the washer arm from moving out but the fluid will still go through, or ~ does it stop all washer action - both mechanical and liquid It's just a thought, i don't intend on changing the way my washers work - they're great when you have a group of people near the front of the car!!!

I've got a year old L&K with 17" wheels and the fuel consumption is very similar to the figures you have quoted above.

Cheers, Gilesk. I wondered why I couldn't find it off the M62.

Where's Bradford?!

Looks pretty good - you now need to amend your sig to match your amended spec list

Does this mean that the only good thing about the car is the suspension because you can play with it?

I have a strange compulsion to go out to find one in a local garage just so that I can have a play - I have never had the opportunity and it feels like my life is not complete now!

Is she mentally stable? I don't mean to ask personal questions on about your friends, but if I was constantly hitting my head I wouldn't be laughing!! :P

Who needs enemies when you can have a friend like you?!?! :D
