  1. a few pics of "my old girl" not bad for nearly 200k!, came to my possesion in a right old state, no lights or switches, no mirrors, no power steering pump, and half a building site inside, not many mods done so far apart from replacing all the parts missing, and fitting a jom lowering kit, fitting a cheapy chinese dvd/radio/cd player double din. loads still to do including 2 new wings, complete interior (after been used as a build site) complete alloy wheel re-furbish, and tinting the windows.
  2. the new rules are pants !!!! and this is coming from a mot tester !!!
  3. i have jom's on my sdi estate , slammed "to the max" very, very harsh ride !!!!
  4. the two allen key adjusters are one for up and down and the second is left to right, as was mentioned probably bulb incorrectly fitted.
  5. hi denis, my word you still on here !!!! glad to see your still happy with the brand
  6. totally agree jb, that's why i use my "discretion" if they are not quite right, but not taking "the pee" i will advise saying characters incorrect but not likely to be missread.
  7. yep was mandatory for manufacturers, so all will be in place, from 1/1/2012 as far as the mot rules go any HID,XENON etc. lights have to have h/light washers and suspension leveling system, otherwise it WILL fail mot test, so not relevant to manufacurers spec, cos they all have them, but relevant to retro fitting of hid's, cos if you only have hid bulbs it will fail!!!! hence why i was warning ppls!!! (this is coming from a very experienced mot tester) btw loads of new rules for the mot test "came into play" from 1/1/2012 !!!!
  8. just a quicky, don't know you guys are aware but as from 1st jan 2012, new rules for retro fitting hid light's, they must have self levelling sensors hooked up to the suspension and also headlight washers otherwise they will fail the mot !!!
  9. hi, thank you, yeh did quite a few on here lol.
  10. halfway on gauge is normal operating temp, also diesels take like 4...ever to warm up.
  11. sounds like the throttle valve body needs the basic setings re-setting
  12. hi all, as the title says "not quite a newbie on here" since i've been on here (off and on) for nine years, having looked around the site nice to see some "old" names. Any way still working on the skuds (only as a independent specialist) and not a dealer any more. Btw good look to the site colin !
  13. My friend thanks all of you for there thoughtful comments, He was never looking for an answer to be told what to do, he realises that only he can decide, he opened up and broke down the other day,now he's middle thirty's but thinks old school (men don't cry or show there feelings, and has a big big problem showing he's feelings they all lay inside of him and are unable to reach his mouth)He says that he's mentaly exhausted by all this, he feels that he has gone through hell and back going this way and then the next, he's gone through guilt, saddness, worthlessness, wished the ground would just open up and swallow him up, he looks at his 8 year old son and thinks to himself why an earth did you deserve to have a Ahole for dad for feeling the way he does, he also does the same for his wife,It was never a question of love or lust he doesn't give a flying F what any of them look like, just wanted/still does be apart of there lives share all the good/bad times etc.My friend has never even kissed a girl whilst being married let alone gone all the way (old school comes in again) although he has had many many opportunities. With all the things going on in the world today and ppl's with much bigger probs as he, he also feels embarresed that he should feel unhappy/moaning about such a trivial event. The girl in question's relationship is going ok and was never ment to be a kop out of that, as mentioned in a thread, (she has her reasons for telling him she feels the same) she has infact told my friend that she never ever wanted to get in the way of his marrige and that they should work on there marrige to make it good(btw he's marrige is o.k he would say he's neither happy or unhappy in it). To cut a long story short he's spoken to the "other woman" as much as he could (given he's inability to express him self) and thinks they have agreed to have there own lives and if they ever meet up in the middle by any chance then sobeit. He's still very emotional about it but hopes with time he can put this behind him. sorry about the long post ... my fingers are hurting now... once again my friend thanks all of you for your input in this very hard time for him.
