when pushing my daughter in her pram along the path and i come across a pr**k who has parked on the path leaving no room to get by, i make sure i try and squeeze past first, often leaving nice scratches down the side of their car, before having to walk in the road to get by. I like to think of it as a little thankyou for such considerate parking

i see your logic, but the mk2 is a big heavy car and the 1.4 will be very underpowered imo. if that doesn't bother you then go ahead and enjoy the extra wedge in your wallet! why not go look at a 1.4 local to you and give it a test drive first and see if you could live with the lack of power? been thinking of buying a smaller/cheaper car too but i know i would miss the power of the vrs and regret it!

my door mirror spider is a bit of a daredevil, every morning on the drive to work he'll come out onto his web and enjoy the 70mph wind, flapping around without a care in the world, then as i pull up at work, off he runs back into his little hidy hole. hard little b*****d tho, survived at least 6 blasts with the pressure washer so far......... its good to know i'm not alone!

not a black vrs, but a quick photoshop i did on my old octy when i too was contemplating some r32 rims. i thought they suited it really well, although never got round to getting a set! i personally think they would look good on a black vrs, bit of a break from the norm

have a look on ebay, get one the same colour as it'll save you cash on painting. you'll probably pay a premium for a vrs bumper over a standard octy bumper tho, the only difference is the cut out for the exhaust, so just buy a standard bumper and cut the hole yourself! should be able to get a decent bumper for £50, maybe less

So, i replaced the bushes on friday, fairly easy and straight forward to do (once i'd undone the drop link from the end of the arb to gain clearance) the plastic sleeves just fell away in pieces! greased the new bushes up and were a nice tight fit on the arb, used a longer bolt to squash the bush up a bit then re-fitted original bolt and hey presto, no more rattle/knock! massive improvement in handling and feel now so well pleased! thanks for all the help and advice!

well what can i say, upon removing the plug from the window motor, there was indeed corrosion to a couple of the pins and one had broken off! happy i've found the problem, i'll be on the lookout for a decent door loom and window motor/control unit, or if i'm brave i might have a stab at trying to replace the pin, which should be interesting! yet again, another problem solved quickly with the expertise of this great forum! cheers guys

ok cheers guys. i'm pretty convinced now that when i remove the door card tomorrow and unplug the connector off the window motor i will find some corroded/broke wires and this will be the problem!! hopefully................

mines a 54 plate vrs and has the flip keys prior to this i had an 01 y plate elegance and had the normal key fob
