  1. Cruise control IS available as a 'dealer fit' accessory (in the brochure), as are Rear Parking Sensors.

Not for the Scout. You have to ask for Cruise (As they can fit it in the factory but still don't put it as an option). It's a devil of a job if you try retrofitting it, a dealer needs about 5 hours

  2. I am prepared to believe their efficacy as a brace based on other people's experiences; I'm now more questioning whether it's necessary to give the cosmetic appearance of a drop-linked ARB, when a hefty piece of girder will do. Maybe it's my Bauhaus sensitivities that make me mistrustful of unnecessary garnishing of functional kit... :ne_nau:

Based on suggestions I made in a previous post about developing a simple brace, maybe the way is open for pikey mod #4!:D

Different manufacturers have approached the design in different ways. In my experiance of both Whiteline and Jabba I have found both to work quite well with the Jabba having the edge on the track for the more discerning driver and the Whiteline having a little more flexibility for road. I don't think the Drop links on the Whiteline are cosmetic and as mentioned they add a little functionality to the bar which is something Jabb bar doesn't have (It's either on or off and for some people it's a bit sharp)

The Jabba bar IS a hefty piece of girder with no drop links and as this is the ultimate in terms of performance (And price....) when it comes to Fabia RARBS it's far from a Pikey Mod!

  3. The Goodyears are fantastic unless it's snowy or they're not warmed up.

I'm trying the Toyo's this time round, but have a hunch I'll be back to the Eagles after they wear out.

This is so true. They are lethal in snow which is why they are currently fitted as my summer tyres. Other than that they give good fuel economy and longevity. They are very good in the wet and even better in the dry. I think the only draw back is I have found the sidewalls to be a little soft when pressing on. However on my current vehicle this is less of an issue and they are excellent. The Toyos where my favorite on my VRS, they where much better on the track.

  4. Mine was still working just fine from september last year until i had a new screen a few weeks back.

I'd suggest you need to clean your wipers with vinegar or put new blades on.

Did this on application, even got the genuine blades. It first went in the middle of the screen where both wipers contact so it's worn off. The stuff is cack compared to silicon wipers which is what would have been fitted if they made an aero version.

  5. I wonder, could it have been fake? - or a bit of rainx poured into an aquapel tube?

No, it was genuine. It's like a glass tube built inside an applicator and it stank. I still have the second which I may just use on my parents conservatory. It's not a patch on PIAA wipers.

  6. Yes, it could end up running like a bag of spanners being dropped down the steps in a church. If the sensor isn't getting the right info back to the ECU, it won't get the fuelling right and hence run rough. It will take more luck than judgement unless your getting a specialist to do it which costs a lot of coin. Tell you what, you get rid of it and come back and tell us what happens eh?

You seem to be very aggressive in your posting. The advice you get on here is much more than "yes" or "no", it's much more comprehensive and far better for people generally, it is obviously subject to you taking any notice of it but there is very little reason for you to react in the way you have (Which BTW is really just plain rude). It's also a public forum and most things on here will be subject to opinion. If you don't like other peoples opinions then just go somewhere else and bother people who care even less.
