  1. When driving my car everynow now and then it gives out a wee stutter here or there, I have looked at posts saying this can be caused if the dpf if removed, mine is still there.

Also when I go over various sized bumps in the road it sometimes happens, the best way to describe it is as if a minor brake application is being applied.

Can anyone help me with what this could be please???

    any input would be appreciated.

  2. When I bought the car Sir Arnold Clark fitted new discs and pads to my car as they needed done (free of charge) I put the squeaking down to the pads rusting when sitting so that clears it up then. not sure of the make of pads but once they need done again I will go for uprated ones better suited for the extra power and extra braking I seem to be doing due to my remap :D

  3. overall, great results.

1st and 2nd gear get quite a bit of wheel spin (wet as fook in scotland just now) so will be good for a blast on the dry roads.

3rd and 4th pulls great, 30mph-60mph comes in a flash and 40mph to 80mph is the same

5th and 6th car just keeps going

    great investment.

on another note, when the car has been sitting for a while the fist time I apply the brakes I get a mad squeak come from the front brakes and the abs light, traction control light and tire pressure light all come on, they squeak stops after a few brake applications and the lights go out.

    has anyone had this before??

could it be due to getting the car lowered??

Sold it for a 2007 focus st, lowered and remapped, also a great car.

Sold that for a bigger deposit on my house.

Bought a 2002 civic type r, standard. wicked car.

Sold that for an Evo 6, all the bells and whistles, 350bhp awesome car.

Had a kid, ended up getting married :x  and sold it the evo help pay for the wedding

Bought a 58 plate vectra, boring car. rocked it for a years........

  6. ok, took the car back the next day......

they took the drop links off and put them back on and I took the car for a test drive, no knocks.

I said what was the issue then?? the reply was I think they were just settling in :x

my reply..... having had 4 cars lowered I have never had any issues such as this, I think that you forgot to tighten the bolts up in the first place!!!

    no never that would'nt happen.

make your own minds up, mines is made up and I wont be back to the garage that I have used for the last 4 years

  7. evening all,

I have just had a set of eibach springs fitted to my 2010 octavia vrs, on the drive home there is a clunking coming from the front every time I hit a bump in the road.

Is this then springs hitting the  shocks due to the 30mm drop or is it a case of they havnt been fitted correctly???

Any help appreciated please, I will be going back to garage anyway to get it fixed.
