late update I know......... the clunking noises turned out to be my front brake pads rattling around in the caliper!! new pads fitted and all sorted

it is like a little jolt that I get. Today for the first time the esp light came on when I went over a patched up piece of roadworks with both front wheels hitting it, the car gave the wee jolt and the esp light flashed up.
could be caused due to the car being lowered?
its annoying as fook

When driving my car everynow now and then it gives out a wee stutter here or there, I have looked at posts saying this can be caused if the dpf if removed, mine is still there.
Also when I go over various sized bumps in the road it sometimes happens, the best way to describe it is as if a minor brake application is being applied.
Can anyone help me with what this could be please???
any input would be appreciated.

With regards to fitting these, without having to take the whole front bumper off, does anyone know if its possible to just remove the undertray on the car to allow me access to fit/tighten the bolts up???

I have ordered my front lip and I am just wondering if it is easy enough to install by myself?
anyone have any experience or a wee guide to help me along?

When I bought the car Sir Arnold Clark fitted new discs and pads to my car as they needed done (free of charge) I put the squeaking down to the pads rusting when sitting so that clears it up then. not sure of the make of pads but once they need done again I will go for uprated ones better suited for the extra power and extra braking I seem to be doing due to my remap

overall, great results.
1st and 2nd gear get quite a bit of wheel spin (wet as fook in scotland just now) so will be good for a blast on the dry roads.
3rd and 4th pulls great, 30mph-60mph comes in a flash and 40mph to 80mph is the same
5th and 6th car just keeps going
great investment.
on another note, when the car has been sitting for a while the fist time I apply the brakes I get a mad squeak come from the front brakes and the abs light, traction control light and tire pressure light all come on, they squeak stops after a few brake applications and the lights go out.
has anyone had this before??
could it be due to getting the car lowered??

not into the bodykit scene anymore (bit old for that) but these seem like subtle mods to enhance overall aggressiveness appearance of the car

Hi, I was a member back in 2006 when I bought a new 56 octavia vrs tdi, loved the car.
Sold it for a 2007 focus st, lowered and remapped, also a great car.
Sold that for a bigger deposit on my house.
Bought a 2002 civic type r, standard. wicked car.
Sold that for an Evo 6, all the bells and whistles, 350bhp awesome car.
Had a kid, ended up getting married and sold it the evo help pay for the wedding
Bought a 58 plate vectra, boring car. rocked it for a years........
Now back in the octavia scene.
Bought a 2010 vrs tdi 170cr, great car.
Its been lowered with eibachs last week and is currently getting mapped as we speak.
So hello again everyone

ok, took the car back the next day......
they took the drop links off and put them back on and I took the car for a test drive, no knocks.
I said what was the issue then?? the reply was I think they were just settling in
my reply..... having had 4 cars lowered I have never had any issues such as this, I think that you forgot to tighten the bolts up in the first place!!!
no never that would'nt happen.
make your own minds up, mines is made up and I wont be back to the garage that I have used for the last 4 years

evening all,
I have just had a set of eibach springs fitted to my 2010 octavia vrs, on the drive home there is a clunking coming from the front every time I hit a bump in the road.
Is this then springs hitting the shocks due to the 30mm drop or is it a case of they havnt been fitted correctly???
Any help appreciated please, I will be going back to garage anyway to get it fixed.

I have just had my rear eibach springs refitted and the writing on them is upside down, does this mean my springs are upside down too?
