The split R with a cai sounds messy as you get two sounds(cant explain really) but the 007p and cai sounds epic! Also the 007p offers better performance imo and i have tried both

The diffence with the maf disconected is usually stack worse

Does my vrs have parking sensors ?
20Vmartin replied to 20Vmartin's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
there is no beep . will have to check for the circles -
i have an 04 mk1 vrs. As above , does it have parking sensors ?
-
mine will do it even up to 30 mins of driving. mainly when i pull away at a roundabout etc. got it remapped thinking that would sort it but it hasn't. Read some people saying they cleaned throttle body but i dont have any rough idleing just this little lag in first gear
-
i am getting a flat spot when i go to pull away in first gear which almost feels as if i have removed my foot from the accelerater momenteraly.and then its fine. I actually thought it was the traction controll as the car is is quite new been a late 04 with low miles. dont thinks its the maf .

Just got back after a good test run and i must say i am very pleased all the gears are loaded with power especially 4th which should come in handy on the motorway. This is not the first time I have had a car remmaped as i was previously the owner of a mk4 1.8turbo Golf and had that done by chipped uk but at double the cost. I do not have a bad word to say about this map and I am impressed with how smooth the car has remained. He also did it for £150 in the end for no apparent reason (just a nice bloke) ps. most of the local little companys are supplied by john anyway so i would suggest going straight to him. Top marks from me DNA Tuning - Home

Getting my mk1 vrs remapped later this afternoon at the bargain price of £170. The guys name is john and i have only ever read good things about his maps and advice. Plus he has told me that he has an array of highly tuned generic maps which he can tweak to my own personal driving requirements. Fast please Will let you know how it goes but we could be on to a little gem here.

if you want a quick fix change the anti roll bar bushes and drop links that should stop the movement. shouldn't cost you more than 30 for parts from CAS parts supplier
