Your headlights are the bi-xenon's, an upgrade on the regular halogens, but more complex (and expensive) as a result.
Assuming it is just the lens that has smashed, then hopefully you can get away with a new headlight, and swap the expensive components over from the old light to the new one, bulb, ballast, ignitor etc.
Indeed just the plastic lens so hoping just the case and as you say transfer over the gubbins to the new case.
Cheers for the eBay listing again tried to have a look but 12 hours today and back in again in the morning meant not much came up.
Shall Beaver away tomorrow and get this resolved.

Quick google search brought up this:
When the job is done the headlight beam basic setting will need adjustment once VCDS or similar is used to enter basic setting mode, then the adjustment can be made. Any MOT station will have one, but you will need to enter basic setting once on the tester and recheck once exiting basic settings to make sure it is correct.
Did google this morning and many searches came up, mainly for Octavia but you found the nugget of info I needed.
Many thanks.

So driving along in the early hours for my 12 hour shift and a bird failed to fly away despite the use of the brake 😞
So as you can see headlight glass smashed and now the need for a new one.
I assume, going by the many searches that this will require to drop the front bumper to remove the headlight? Further more is just a shell that I buy and transfer the rest over or does the headlights remain in place as I have those "moving" lamps?
Cheers for any help

Loved the film.
Went to the Cineworld Superscreen showing as got seats for the Star Wars double bill and wanted to try out the seats
Thoroughly enjoyed Thor but it baffles me how many people left as soon as the credits started... the fools!

Had mine done couple of weeks back, £175 at the Skoda dealer though website said £179 so four quid in my pocket!!

For my Superb is V-Power diesel and only Shell.
Now on my 6th tank of V-Power and already starting to show better mpg, well nearly as my right foot likes the noise!

And I thought I was the only one with this problem!
Tried most of the leading brand cleaners though never got round to using Autoglym.. yet!
However I found this in Tesco:
We use this brand for the other sprays around the kitchen so I thought I would give it a go, more so as it was on special offer and so far so good.
Bit of elbow grease with the microfiber cloth to get through streaks and so far holding up very well.

I know it's not the same phone but I have a Galaxy S8+ and my wife has the One Plus 3T both paired and all works as they should and the age of the phone puts them on par with the Z2
Not sure about reading texts as I don't bother with that, but for phone calls, radio apps and podcast apps all ok through the system.

Now that's a flat spot!
At least you it now and not when the boys in blue are behind you.

Would love to see the set up Nige just to get some idea.
Agree with the wheels, great smooth ride but find a dip or small hole and feels like the whole world smashing in!

All done and took around 15 minutes with no horror stories!
Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 170bp 62 plate.
13mm socket for the clamp and a 10mm for the connectors.
Old battery
Ccable tie holder that was holding the power cables together.
as you can see easily got my hand down and undid the nut by hand after using the socket set and refit by hand with plenty of space
the warning I got along with the warning lights and within 20 yards all the warnings went out after a quick trip.
Only thing I had to do was reset was the clock. All other functions remained the same, Windows were ok, boot ok and sat nav ok!
Battery a dream and most certainly starts with ease. Brilliant service from Tayna and will order from them again.
Only thanks to the many on here for the tips given did this go smoothly.

Only bought my Superb couple weeks back and my battery failed last Thursday while doing some updates and seems this is the original battery so 4 years not bad.
Like you not leaving anything to chance as the car so after looking through the forums I bought this: https://www.tayna.co.uk/E44-Varta-Silver-Dynamic-Car-Battery-P7726.html
Was delivered Saturday but the joy of working shifts meant I arrived home Saturday afternoon drenched!
So plan is to swap the batts over this afternoon but will have my magnetic flex tool on stand by in case the nut tries to run away.
From what I have read it's a straight swap and a drive around to clear any faults. Radio code should not be required either.
I will update later.

Driving in for my early shift this morning and the first sign for chritsmas trees was spotted.

It will be hardwired for mine once I have worked out the best way to do it. I cannot abide plug-ins and dangling cables.
Nige
Snap.
Seen a few YT videos and already had a general plod around the car to see if this will be an easy fit but did read somewhere on here on the best place to put the dashcam, which seems to be to the left of the mirror.

Indeed many great posts here.
Hopefully my new battery should arrive today and now considering a dashcam with the hardwire option. More to research!

Bird strike - Headlight smashed assume bumper removal...

My thoughts to the insurance route have crossed my mind but the possible increase in premiums at the same time have me looking at the DIY route as long as the headlight is OEM rather than pattern in this case.
