They are genuine Skoda items and for a standard Octavia rear bumper, though I have read online of people fitting them to the Vrs rear bumper also with no real "major" issues.

Octavia VRS MK2 Springs and Shocks

I have for sale front and rear springs and shocks from my Skoda Octavia Vrs 2007 hatchback. They were removed last year for Bilstien Dampers and Eibach Springs.

They have covered 70k and the rears could do with new bump stops.

If I remember rightly they are 20mm lower than normal Octavias.

Postage £29.99 due to the excessive weight!

    Collection welcome from Trowbridge, Wiltshire.

  3. I have for sale a DPF that has done less than 4k. My DPF went tits up on my Vrs when I had only owned it for a few months, as the car still had warrenty I had it replaced with a new one (happy days). As I knew I didn't want a DPF on my car I used the old one to have it mapped out leaving me with a pretty new DPF.

It came from Euro car parts so not a VAG item, I do still have the receipt somewhere to. Was approx £750 if I remember right.

Not sure what its worth used, looking on eBay older ones are £250 - £350. So I'm looking for around £300.

I am in Trowbridge, Wilts. Delivery is fine though will need to check a price first.

Due to our circumstances changing I am putting our Skoda Octavia Vrs up for sale. This has been my wife's car for 2 years and we intended to keep this for many more years to come. Unfortunately due to buying another house which needs lots of money throwing at it, we have down sized to a cheaper car.

This is an excellent car and it pains me to sell it for something inferior. With the sporty looks and ridiculously cheap running costs it makes a great all rounder. The car has a low tax / insurance band and great mpg. On our trip to France last year we averaged 58mpg!

As we intended to keep this car for some long length of time we spent ages finding the right car. Its had money spent on it both before and during our ownership and comes with a folder full of history and recipets. Here is a list of what’s been done:

    DPF - Removal:

As most people are aware there are some horror stories attached with the PD170 and the DPF (in-fact horror stories with various diesels & DPF’S). The issue can be a reoccurring annoyance and when it gets to the stage a new DPF is needed, it can be a huge cost of around a £1000. This is why we decided to have ours removed by a reputable company. The standard DPF has been taken off, opened up, had the insides removed, welded back up to look the same, and refitted back on as before. After this the engine management has been altered to suit the new change, this also included a slight performance gain.

This has now increased fuel economy, the way it drives and most importantly our faith in the car. A very worth while investment and improvement!

At the same time this work was carried out we decided to invest in a few new replacement parts.

    Skoda Eibach Pro Lowering springs:

These are the sports springs sold by Skoda, made by Eibach. The Eibach Pros offer a very subtle 20mm drop. This has improved road handling and the overall look of the car.

    Bilstien B4 OEM Dampers:

The car was on 80k and it made sense to compliment the Eibach springs with new shock absorbers. The Bilstien B4s are an OEM replacement, just made by the well known and regarded Bilstien.

Top Mounts / Bump Stops / Drop Links:

With the suspension removed it made sense to replace these items, which after many years will wear and fail.

    4 new Uniroyal Rainsport 2s:

Well regarded performance tyre in the wet as well as the dry, only covered around 5k in these.

    4 wheel alignment:

After the new tyres and suspension we had 4 wheel alignment carried out at Powerstation in Tewksbury. Octavias (lots of new large cars really) are known for inner rear tyre wear.

Once we were happy with how the car now drove and handled, we invested some more time and money into standard serviceable items.

    Rear spoiler re-sprayed:

Common fault on Skoda spoilers, water gets under the lacquer and it lifts away from the spoiler. This was fully sprayed off the car and then refitted.

    *Bosch Aero Wipers all round

    *LED Interior Bulbs

    *LED Exterior Bulbs

    *Halfords Super Brilliance Dipped Bulbs

The car comes with previous MOTs, Full Skoda service history, V5 document, Skoda Handbook, spare key fob and lots and lots of receipts.

As you can see this car has had money spent on it where and when needed. Selling the car is not a decision we made lightly and I know this car will make someone happy. The only things to point out as with any used car, stone chips to front end, the odd small car park ding, few light scratches and wheel curbing to wheels. Usual car used related marks really.

We are in no hurry to sell and I am happy for test drives providing you have supporting insurance documents. Millage will go up as were still using the car.

  5. The M1 vRS felt fast the vRS diesel certainly doesnt, owned the first , driven the 2nd at some length , mate has one and he agrees. I have a petrol M2 VRS now.

Quite funny as I only said the exact opposite about 2 hours to a work mate. Found the 1.8t in standard form slow, where as the derv didn't to me. Opinions will always difer, I would rather a petrol to lol
